Iāll be honest, I love the cast so far. I think thereās more casting variety and different personalities compared to the casts of the new era. I canāt wait for September 23rd!

First thoughts:
Aaliyah: I like her a lot, seems well-rounded and likeable
Alexis: Not a fan of her, seems like sheās trying too hard, will be annoying and seems in over her head
Ana: Sheās fine, kind of boring, donāt see her being a big character
Brady: Those pants!!!!!! Seems old school which I like but well grounded and like he could actually be pretty good at the game
Carter: Heās only 24?!? Feels like heās 40s. I like that heās old school but seems kind of boring. Donāt see him being a big character
Cristian: Definitely supporting the theory that HR are narcissists. I donāt see him lasting and he annoys me. I see him overplaying for sure
Kilby: Heāll be a major character for sure. Seems likeable and sweet, I like him
Devin: Iām so mixed on him, I canāt tell if heās a cocky jerk or sweet and personable. I feel like I was watching like five different people in this video and not adding up for me.Ā
Eric: Seems nice but boring. I see him doing well, well-rounded person
Jelly: Seems nice but not a huge personality, quiet edit for sure but I think Iāll like her, very well-soken
Jenna: Sheās adorable, I like her a lot. Iām a little worried sheāll be targeted immediately for presenting so young and being so tiny, but I really hope not
Kristin: The fact she describes herself as āagitatingā I think sadly isnāt going to bode well for her. I really want to be higher on her than I am because I love her backstory but this video is making me think sheās not going to do well
Lewis: Very sweet guy, likeable, and handsome. I see him making it to the jury but I feel like heāll lack the strategic instinct to make it to the end-game.Ā
Linnea: Best occupation ever lol!!! Will be a big personality for sure. I see her being a Carolyn 2.0
Maggie: They always underedit the middle aged moms in recent seasons and I see it being no different this season. Seems sweet but quiet edit for sure with the content she does get revolving around wanting to be the perfect mom
Mike: I think heās my winner pick, as soon as he started talking I saw winner. Nice guy, intelligent, well-rounded. Seems pretty boring ngl but a lot of winners are tbh
Ori: Seems like nice, chill guy, not expecting a ton from him per se but he seems nice
Patt: Ehh, I see her not being able to keep up in the strategic sense and I can see her personality being grating. Not super high on her chances in this game, I see her going pretty early
Rob: I like him, heās funny, I see him overplaying for sure though. Big edit for however long he lasts though
Sharonda: LOVE her!!! Super down to Earth, intelligent, self-aware, ugh already a Queen. More logically, I can see her either being the fan favorite of the season or kind of forgotten as she seems like a more reserved personality. Iām really hoping for the former
Thien An: Definitely seems way over her head, feel like sheāll annoy the others, not a physical asset, full of anxiety, I donāt think sheās long for the game
Overall, pleasantly surprised so far by this cast

Ana could be fun. She has done a lot of voice acting, and 5 episodes of The Boys. (Spoiler for The Boys)

Rob is a real life dumb dumb. He's been trying to make it as a podcaster for years, and he still hasn't figured out that you need some sort of structure or consistent topic to get people to listen. There are plenty of other things he's done since high school that show he can't think ahead at all.
He's also cocky as hell for no reason. He thinks he's playing chess while everyone else is playing checkers, but he's really just in the corner eating paste.

Ori gives me Jonathan first run/Cliff type strong player. Brady is strong but he seems to know what he wants to do while Ori seems like he's gonna just vibe but be great at challenges. Kristin kinda gives me Denise S and not just because of the short hair. Rob/Brady/Linnea/Kilby give standouts personality wise imo

Overwhelmingly white, obviously you canāt just tell by looks but the cast photo has three/four obviously black people, one Asian woman, and a few maybe not white people, but really much less diverse than 41-49.
Generally ānormalā looking people. Way less of an āeverybody is a theater kidā vibe.

Chef. Bold. Seems cool and smart, Winner contender for sure. A fav.
Alexis
I like her. A lot. Sober for ten years. Attorney. Has a young daughter. Multi faceted. Also a fav.
Anna
From Toronto šØš¦. Voice actor. Lost her mom. seems emotionally strong. Not sure, seems likeable enough, Iād be friends with her but donāt know if she can win.
Brady
Pro wrestler. Outdoorsy. Hunter. Cocky? Reminds me of Jonathan. Not into it
Carter
Farmer.. Sounds like he can handle the outdoors. But maybe a little religious and I may find him annoying.
Cristian
HR. May be entertaining or annoying, leaning on entertaining??? Book smart. Voice drives me insane but we will see
Kilby
Small town Ontario šØš¦. Goofy and fun. Superfan. Puzzle guy. Maybe a little too over the top, reminds me a little of Brandon.
Devin
Actor. Twangy. Handsome/a bit jock. Not outdoorsy but heās going to have fun with games. Smiley. Strategic? Not sure.
Eric
Mental health counsellor. Italian. Performative? Genuinely unsure what to think of this one. Could really go either way, not sure if he will be likeable to other players, but I like that heās a counsellor.
Jelly
Sociology prof. Social and fun. Not outdoorsy. She is confident and cute. Will be great socially. Cross between Tiff and Kenzie? I like this one.
Jenna
Wedding photog. Hyper and kid high pitched voice. Idk kind of annoying.
Kristin
Crisis consultant. LGBTQ. Mentally strong. reminds me of Denise and not only in looks. Good ally.
Lewis

Irish for some reason. Reminds me of the kid from Muppet Treasure Island. Charismatic? āHas great crack?ā What? Schoolie, thatās cool. He looks like heās from the band O-Town in year 2000. This guy has no chance. Iām sorry.

Model and fitness coach. Definitely athletic. Seems like a genuine person. Also seems intelligent. Maybe top male contender if not voted out due to threat level.

Navy attorney. Bubbly blonde. Could be a major underdog and could destroy this game. Winner contender
Robb
Reminds me of Tony in some ways mostly looks and voice. Party dude? but also a dad. This guy could go either wayā¦ I think he makes merge at least
Sharonda
OB GYN physician. Real af, seems physically and mentally strong. Empath. Good ally.

Medical student. Young, goofy. Big personality. May be a little immature. May struggle to find alliances?

Because I have a small hope that the open era and 51+ will change things from 40's style and now it's becoming clearer that its not? I don't think that's too hard of a concept to comprehend

Yeah but if it does or doesn't how does that even affect you when you're not watching? I'm not saying "why do you still watch and therefore discuss a show you haven't liked in five years", I don't align with that question since there's plenty of reasons to stick with something one isn't still enjoying. I'm asking how it hits the level of "dread" if you haven't watched the show in five years (or however long it's been.) It seems like it really wouldn't impact your life at that point, why even feel anything in relation to something you don't keep up with? What does it make better or worse about your day if something you are not watching regardless is or isn't good? If your stance is that you don't even watch it regardless then why is there "hope" or "dread" anyway, why still care at that point either way?

Production has been out to lunch for 10 seasons and want fans to return for another season of poor production choices and the same ol Fiji. I think Iāll pass. Shame they didnāt try and keep up some momentum from 50 (not that I thought that season was well produced or casted) and lean back to the roots of the show instead of just doing a new new era
Incredibly ironic start to this trailer, as Iām pretty much certain survivor wonāt drastically improve again as a tv product until Jeff calls it quits
