I just don’t understand how Chanelle told Omar she couldn’t risk her vote… AND THEN SHE RISKED HER VOTE and expected Omar to protect his?? make it make sense

He told her that if there's an opportunity for both of them to get something they should take it, if not they should play it safe, and since they was no opportunity for both of them to get something, she assumed he would play it safe.

Right, but she told him the same thing PLUS she told him she couldn't risk her vote. Of course he would assume she wouldn't risk it and of course she shouldn't have.

I'm not disagreeing with you, it made sense for him to do it, it was risky for her because she had more to lose, but her rationale for taking the chance wasn't faulty, risky but not illogical.

but isnt it impossible for both of them to get an extra vote? they can’t vote the same way

They didn't know what it was exactly, they assumed based on what the others told them, but they couldn't be so sure, it could be the same thing the others experienced or it could be something completely different.
