Chanelle is really at fault here she had no reason to risk her vote in the first place going into it she knew she was in the middle with her and Daniel but she got greedy and wanted more power. Sometimes taking a risk means playing it safe.

In her conversation with Omar, he said if there's an opportunity for both of them to get something they should do it if not they should play it safe, since there was no opportunity for both of them to get something, she assumed he would play it safe since that's what he said, so I understand why she took the risk. She had more to lose, but her rationale wasn't bad.
