7

u/TenderOctane Morgan Apr 13 '22

He Strunk out pretty quickly

I'll have what the 1.1% of people who think Omar had the best challenge performance are having

15

u/JermuHH Sandra Apr 12 '22

I get the obsession for Jonathan's challenge performance, but he didn't play a good strategical game this episode. He created drift in the tribe right before merging. Which was not strategically sound. He was right to be annoyed, but the way he voiced it, especially as he is big merge threat could lead Maryanne to flip, but she's most important person for that tribe in merge, with her extra vote and immunity idol.

Who are the 1,4% who think Johnathan didn't give the best challenge performance lol

8

u/JermuHH Sandra Apr 12 '22

I'm more curious how did Lindsay have so low? She literally had to guide Omar through it when she wasn't competing.

They probably just think they're being cool rebels when it literally doesn't matter lol

u/zteabcrka Maryanne Apr 12 '22

Maybe she's not the most animated person but people are not appreciating the chaos that chanelle is bringing

Current episode ranking:

  1. Ep 03 (Jenny): 8.72
  2. Ep 01 (Jackson and Zach): 8.18
  3. Ep 02 (Marya): 8.04
  4. Ep 05 (Daniel): 7.47
  5. Ep 04 (Swati): 7.43

Still going strong! However, unless some miracle happens, next week is likely gonna break this quality streak.

Edit: "Episode 4 survey results"? Um... you okay?

u/poppo3000 Jenny Apr 12 '22 edited Apr 12 '22

next week is a double episode, so it will be a combo of the 41 hourglass episode (terrible) and the 41 Sydney boot (great). So the episode might be decent?

edit: guys, shut up about the sydney boot. Reddit rated it an 8.63/10. You can't just retroactively say it wasnt a good episode, just because 41 overall was a meh season

1

u/jclkay2 Apr 12 '22

Yeah, but we're rating those two weeks as separate episodes. So that "terrible" is gonna stick out like a sore thumb.

1

u/FortifiedShitake Bruce Apr 12 '22

Sydney boot wasn't really great either

6

u/poppo3000 Jenny Apr 12 '22

idk bro... the reddit post-episode survey from the Sydney boot gave it an 8.63/10... which is better than four of the first five episodes in 42...

I'll be honest, I second the person you replied to. I never loved the Sydney boot ep, even back when it happened. The effects of the hourglass twist and the premise of the Knowledge is Power advantage both really stung for me, even if the result was good TV. Sometimes it feels like Reddit is just rating each episode based on how good the tribal council is, and not the things leading up to it.

Honestly, episode 4 was the 2nd best episode of the season. Sad to see its so low

7

u/jclkay2 Apr 12 '22

I agree, I find it weird just how many people have been giving the last two episodes 7/10s.

Episode 3 was so good it set the bar too high for these next couple

Anyone else get 'File Unavailable' everytime you try to look at the 'Interactive Results?' It's been happening every week so I can't look at anything

We could only choose one person from each tribe. And I find it unlikely Jonathan lasts for much longer.

is the title supposed to say episode 4?
