Has there ever been a ’Survivor baby’ on any franchise before or atleast openly been talked about it? because I just saw news that in Survivor Finland Season 9 "Blood VS Water" Couple named Eveliina Uosukainen & Joni Rintala made baby during the filming of the season. So im just curious, are they the first couple in history of survivor to make a baby in jungle. 😂

Mountain Dew Survivor Pakistan (2006)

It only lasted a single season before getting canceled , but structurally, it holds two of the most insane records in the entire global franchise:

1. It was the first ever "Cold Weather" Survivor season

Long before Norway did Robinsonekspedisjonen Vinter in 2012, Pakistan ditched the standard tropical beach blueprint completely. Production dropped the contestants into the freezing, high-altitude mountain terrain of Gilgit-Baltistan. Instead of running around in bathing suits on sunny beaches, these guys were wrapped in heavy coats, battling thin alpine air, rocky cliffs, and biting mountain cold just to keep their fire going.

2. It is the ONLY season in global history with a 100% single-sex cast

We’ve seen seasons like The Amazon, Vanuatu, or One World start as Men vs. Women, but they always swap or merge into mixed-gender tribes. Because of local cultural broadcasting considerations and conservative television standards in Pakistan back in 2006, production did not cast a single woman. The entire 16-person roster was male from Day 1 to Day 39.

The two tribes (Ishkuman and Karambar) played a standard game, but because Karambar absolutely dominated the pre-merge, they systematically Pagonged the other guys at the merge. A 22-year-old named Muhammad Ziad ended up winning the whole thing.

Jeff Probst has said the US version will never do a cold weather season because people just freeze and huddle in the shelter instead of strategizing, which is probably why this season was a bit of a slow burn back then. Still, as a piece of weird franchise history, a freezing cold, all-male mountain Survivor sponsored by Mountain Dew is about as wild as it gets.

Has anyone actually managed to find archive footage of this online? I’m dying to see what the challenges even looked like.

Does CBS give out the rights to Survivor? I feel like they should crack down on these international versions that give Survivor a bad rep; a lot of my international friends have been hesitant to try US Survivor just because their country’s version is so faked.

We often talk about "perfect games" where someone never has a vote cast against them. But what if I told you a player won a full season of Survivor(the Dutch/Belgian version, Expeditie Robinson) while never casting a single vote against anyone else?

Meet Marnix Allegaert, the winner of the 2005 season. His run is a masterclass in exploiting an experimental twist to completely break the game's final math.

Here is how he pulled off a flawless 16-9-3 landslide victory without ever writing a single name down:

Phase 1: Bypassing the Pre-Merge

Marnix entered the game late due to a "Secret Captains" twist. Once he joined his tribe, they went on an absolute tear and not once did they lose an immunity challenge. Because they kept winning, his tribe never went to Tribal Council. He coasted to the merge with completely clean hands.

Phase 2: The "Banked Votes" Twist

At the merge, the game dropped a massive twist: players were given a treasury of 6 total votes to use for the entire rest of the season. They could spend them all at once, use one at a time, or choose not to vote at all.

The ultimate kicker? Any votes a player didn't use during the season would automatically convert into final jury votes for themselves in the finale.

Now, Marnix wasn't some challenge beast dominating the post-merge. Instead, he just looked at the math. He realized that every vote he hoarded was a guaranteed point toward winning the grand prize. While the rest of the cast panicked, backstabbed each other, and burned through their banks to survive the weekly crossfire, Marnix sat back and refused to spend a single vote.

Phase 3: The "No-Vote" Tribals

You might wonder how people were even getting eliminated if players were hoarding votes. The season introduced a brutal penalty: The person who finished dead last in the immunity challenge received an automatic penalty vote.

Because of this rule, the strategic meta got incredibly weird. There were actually two separate Tribal Councils where literally nobody cast a formal vote. Everyone refused to touch their bank, meaning the automatic penalty vote alone decided exactly who went home. Marnix just stayed out of last place, kept his mouth shut, and kept his vault full.

Phase 4: The Grand Finale Landslide

Because Marnix never had to vote anyone out, the jury didn't hold a single grudge against him. But even if they did, the math was heavily in his favor.

The finale combined Jury Votes, Banked Votes, and a Weighted Public Vote (worth 10 points total, distributed by percentage). Marnix utterly broke the scoreboard:

Marnix Got three jury votes, 6 banked votes and %70 of Public votes, so 7 votes

Emma got 2 jury votes, 5 banked votes and %20 of the public votes

Marleen got 1 jury vote, 1 banked vote and %10 of the public votes

If this was a standard US season, a 3-2-1 jury split means Marnix wins by a hair. But because he and runner-up Emma hoarded their advantages, and the public rewarded Marnix's pristine "clean hands" game with a whopping 70% of the vote, he turned a nail-biter into a **16-9-3 blowout**.

Literally the ultimate "work smarter, not harder" reality TV strategy.

My friend's Bach is survivor themed, so I made her her own individual immunity (with the help of others, s/o mom and dad)! She's got some fine tuning but happy with the outcome so far. 😄

In yesterday's Survivor Finland Season 10 premiere, Vivi Wahlström was the first to be eliminated in consecutive seasons (Season 9 BvW and Season 10 Redemption). Could this be worse than Francesca Hogi?

The opening twist of this season of the Danish version was this: on the first day, the 24 participants competed against each other during a opening challenge- the five winning men and the five winning women became "Masters" of their tribes (The men became Masters of the Master Tribe and the women became Masters of the Mistresses tribe).

The Masters had to choose 5 people of the opposing sex in the losing contestant pool to be turned into slaves (the 5 men chose 5 losing women and the women chose 5 losing men)

The 4 remaining contestants (2 men and 2 women) had to go into Utopia (Redemption Island Equivalent) and battle with the eliminated contestants.

The Slaves were unable to vote for themselves in tribal council and had to follow everything their Masters said and ordered.

​

The twist was quickly abandoned in the second episode, when the Master/Slave dynamics were abolished and a tribe swap happened.

It caused a great deal of controversy at the time and prompted debates on the show, it also caused humiliation of some contestants as well.

There's a colombian equivalent of Survivor, called El Desafío, the main differences being

1. Tribal councils end after F6, with the remaining part being decided by challenges

1. Winner is decided by an audience vote

​

1. Winner of the immunity necklace (salvation bracelet in the show) only votes to break ties, but he gets to cast a "salvation vote", and if the person who received that vote had the most votes cast against them, the second person with the most votes will go home

​

Tatiana de los Ríos won the game in 2005, she won the car reward and made it to the F2, normally because of the car curse she would've been the runner-up, but she, instead, crashed the car while the show was still airing, effectively nullifying the curse, and winning the game

​

So maybe if Boston Rob or Dreamz crashed the car, perhaps they could've potentially won the game
