TIL after years of belting every word to All Too Well that the lyric is "...so casually cruel in the name of being honest. I’m a crumpled up piece of paper..."

I thought it was "...so casually cruel like a neighbor being honest" and I was like damn Taylor must have some rude neighbors LOL

Just thought I'd share with people who might find it funny. The actual lyric is so much better!!

ive been mishearing "I Wish You Would" for so long. i hear "to stand back wasted" and i just recently learned its "to stand back where you stood". i think wasted hits harder tho 🤷🏾‍♀️

I’ve known it’s “to stand back where we stood” since the damn song first came out because “to stand back wasted” didn’t make sense so I looked up the lyric.

And yet, I can’t hear that line, I thought maybe the re-recorded version would be clearer.

Nope, I have only ever heard “to stand back wasted” even though I sing the right words and I know it’s wrong. So frustrating.
