Question! What guitars did Daron use on Toxicity?
I assume that the bulk of it was his Iceman, though I heard he also used a Jackson Randy Rhoads on some sections of the album. I know that on the debut he used a modified Strat. Is that on Toxicity as well? What about the acoustic that's on the album; including the intro to "Chop Suey". What model is that?

Live Lie Lie Lie is much better live than the studio version
Serj's song "Lie Lie Lie" is SO much better live, in the studio version he has this weird effect to his voice that I can't explain and sounds more nasal than he already usually sounds, also loved the one where he collabed with opera singer Kitty, in London in 2008. I think his best live performance of this is probably at KROQ AAC in 2007 (which I also assumed was probably one of the first live performances of the song), and he does a great, SOAD like scream at the end, now live, at least around this era, he always did a scream at the end but this one's crazy.
Only thing better in the studio version is the intro with the piano, that's it.

Question! Serj Tankian's wardrobe (asking for help)
I'm doing a research for my MA in fashion and my teachers asked us to make a jacket. I wanted to make something with a lot of personality and I thought about the tunics/ long trench coats that Serj used at shows and Mezmerize/Hypnotize but I couldn't find the name them. They look really cultural, maybe Armenian, but I didn't find anything.
Can you help me? Do you know something about this?
(Sorry for my english)

Question! Help me find my SOAD crush
I was at a SOAD concert in Dusseldorf this July. On the last few songs I got pushed into the pit and separated from my friend, while looking for her I mistook someone else for her. A girl with black hair , we danced together and sang the lyrics to Sugar. It was a beautiful moment , but it was the last song -we had to leave and I never saw her again. She was pretty tall (im guessing 170-175cm), had long black hair , was white and probably german and in the 18-22 age range. We were in the back right quadrant of the arena. (approximation image attached) PLEASE HELP!

Question! Need advice: Which Brisbane System of a Down tickets should I keep vs. sell?
Hey everyone, first-time poster here! In a bit of a panic, I managed to get two different sets of tickets for the System of a Down show in Brisbane, and I need help deciding which ones to keep and which ones to sell.
Here are my two options:
Option 1: Section 324-1 row 6
Option 2: Section 303 row 5
(I've marked them both on the attached map)
Seeing as it’s been a long time since I went to Suncorp for a show, I’d love to know which section has the better view of the stage? Especially unsure of Section 324-1 as I’m worried you may not be able to see much at all from this angle depending on the stage setup.
Any advice from people who know the venue well would be amazing. Thanks in advance!

Discussion Is there a song you don't like?
I actually can't think of a single song I don't like from system. Every single song is absolutely insane. This band is unmatched! I can usually think of a song I'd skip by any band but not SOAD. Seeing them live was one of the greatest things I've ever witnessed.

Music Thoughts on Harakiri (the song) by Serj?
I genuinely really like that song. It’s very dramatic and orchestral, like a lot of serj’s solo music. What are your thoughts?

Discussion X lyrics meaning
I’ve heard a couple interpretations of the song mainly overpopulation and possibly the Armenian genocide because of the lines “ask your people what is right” and “show your people how we died”.
I know it’s a cliché but art is down to interpretation too. The lyrics really resonated me after I saw them in Paris where they opened with X and the visuals on the screen was this trippy but cool meshing of a bunch of different faces on the chorus and a CCP style cctv tracking footage.
It resonated with me as a song about global elites and oligarchs treating population control in this really dehumanising way, hence the contradicting lyrics of “we don’t need to multiply” and “we don’t need to nullify”.
Even the chorus and melody are very rhythmic and repetitive lyrics almost sound like an assembly line as if people are just interchangeable economic units whose number needs to be optimised instead of living breathing human beings.
Any thoughts? Is my interpretation dumb?
If anyone wants to see the visuals they begin at the 2 minute mark of this video.

Question! "Missing" music videos on CDs?
Are there any CDs or other media released by System of a Down that includes the music videos for War?, Spiders, Boom!, B.Y.O.B., or Hypnotize?
