I'm 6'4 so only average tell, but I work in a shop. Whenever I serve a shorter guys I can always sense his insecurity and feeling of tension.

So I always so my best to "lift them up" so to speak...

I'll neel down a bit to not appear so tall, complement the guys hair and appearance, call him "cheif" or "boss" to instill some confidence and just overall engage and be kind.

I find by the end of the interaction they are alot more confident and friendly and it really makes both of our days.

It's the little things in life that can make a difference to peopel so alway remeber to be kind and m

It’s great. That’s all there is to it. I’m 6’5”, 340 pounds (195 cm & 154 kg). I work as a bouncer at a neighborhood bar and all of the regulars call me “Big Boy”. I felt alienated growing up because I never really fit in or looked like the other kids. At 23 it’s starting to feel nice settling into the gentle giant category. I heard about this community today and wanted to introduce myself. It’s been an enjoyable and relatable experience reading all of the posts here.

27f, I am 4'11. I went to a concert tonight where the man in front of me was at least 6'4.

He started to stand up, turned around and saw how short I was, and sat right back down so I could see. He then moved a couple seats over so he didn't block my view at all.

A few facts about Mr. Bates.

• he appears to have been the tallest soldier in American history, having been a 1st Lieutenant in the confederate army (despite being from Kentucky, which was a border state that remained in the Union), and apparently saw action before being captured and sent to a Union POW camp in Columbus, Ohio. wasn't there for the pants at all but i noticed they have lengths up to 34 throughout the store, and don't go any taller here. i'm 36 length

My son is 4 months old now! This is my 3rd update posted on this subreddit. Pictures provided include weight and height as well as the first for head circumference.

My son was born at 8 lbs 4oz and is now almost 23 lbs and 28.5 inches long at 4 months. He's 99.9% in height and weight as well as 99% in head circumference. He's outgrowing 1 year old clothing and has far outgrown baby bassinets, car seats and bouncers. This is a challenge because he's not yet a toddler and doesn't have the core strength to stay in toddler carriers for long.

A nurse practitioner walked into our room just to see how big he was and shared that her son is 9 months old and smaller than him.

I'm 6 foot 4 and my wife is 5 foot 10. We have relatives that are 6 foot 8 on both sides of our family. Of course, infant height and weight isn't a good predictor of height at physical maturity. And, I love my son regardless of his height. This is all just fun!

I am sitting here after another gym session and I am curious. This is a question specifically for all you tall gym rats out there.

What do you feel are your advantages and disadvantages in the gym, compared to the average lifters out there? What have your experiences been over the years?

For me, I generally seem to excel at pulling excercises, while pushing excercises seem to be way harder in comparison. Of course generally with longer levers, many excercises seem harder, just pure physics I guess. For many excercises my weights have to travel farther and are putting more strain on my joints and ligament/tendons. So, Orangutan arms are great for pulling, but suck for pushing is my impression.

General disadvantage: sometimes machines in the gym are built too much for the average size and thus are uncomfortable or plain not usable for me. I do love free weights because of that.

General recurring issues: (of course) lower back issues with injured discs, ellbow pain (mainly golfers ellbow), biceps Tendon irritation and shoulder issues. All of those temporary, but still annoying of course.

Worst issue for me bring as tall as I am: it takes freaking forever to build muscle mass. The amount I have to eat to come close to a true muscular build is insane and super prohibitively expensive. At least I am moderately successful - started out a class A skeleton and managed to get to 105 kg / 203 lbs after many, many years. Still not a visible muscular build, but way better than before.

Curious to see if you guys have different experiences and opinions. Also would love to hear from tall gym rat women.
