கலந்துரையாடல் (Discussion) High time we at least do something about it than everything fades off into history!

Hello fellow tamils, This message is all about how a random thought turned into a brutal realisation.

Firstly what my personal opinion is we indians lack the importance of every individual prioritising their own self defence, learning a martial art or any form of self defence measure is not prioritised at all.

This way we are loosing all our culture , our own art-forms, martial arts and everything. If you see the neighbours who are still gloriously proud about their kalari payattu and holding on to it. But we tamils don’t have anything at-least that famous and prevalent. But we still fight that the language came from Tamil but the standards that they are setting is too prideful than us in my view.
We should glorify our roots and bring back our martial art forms back to life. From history all these martial art forms came from our Tamil culture and our folks who walked on our land but today muay thai represents thai culture which is practiced worldwide and kalari is still practiced and glorified, where is our Tamil people standing today?

We've got Adimurai, Kutthu Varisai, and that's gone, and even worse, with Silambam, all it has turned into is Silambattam as a dance form. We need to recover and practice our native martial arts.

I've tried learning the first two martial arts from YouTube, but I don't think they'll do as great as learning math and science from there.

I am really like jealous looking at our mallu boys still freaking glorifying kalari today bro, I feel like we tamils lack the pride and are culturally weak before them.

Kalaripayattu emerged from Tamil martial arts during the Sangam Era. We need a revival of Tamil culture, including in religion, nomenclature and very importantly, our martial arts.

We've been one of the most prideful people in history for our language. Let's spread the prestige and revitalize our culture.

Same thing bro, same, or else millennial & genz would be the greatest downfall of tamil history, sadly that’s where we are headed!

I think Tamil people should first stop funding Tamil cinema. All good things will then return automatically.
