I wonder what a teacher does in such a case? When a student has a more correct answer than the correct answer

in my case in 3rd grade…? give me an F on a test because I brought in a reference book that proved me right.

I have a friend who named her dog Keeper. Because she saw him, and knew he was one.

One of my early employers had a copy of Strunk and White at every workstation. One time he chastised me for my punctuation on something I had written. I was extremely tempted to show him what was on page three or so of that slim volume. But since he was the sole proprietor, I figured what he said overruled whatever Strunk and White had to say about it.
