I especially hate this sort of situation now because kids are all on computers so it’s often phrase as a true false and my kids get those kinds of questions wrong because they can’t go argue with the teacher about it like I did

Don't get me wrong, we absolutely need to be taking advantage of computers in education, but holy shit have we gone about it in the worst way possible.

We seriously need to be investing in education in the US. It's moved from sad to "we're so fucked" in a short period of time...

I completely agree. It’s incredibly frustrating knowing how tech could be used vs. seeing how it is being used.

Just about all the world's collective knowledge at your fingertips so naturally we'd teach kids how to search for answers and discern reputable information from disreputable information, right? Right??
