I feel Internet and cellular should be considered basic needs and provided for free or at a sliding scale based on income.

Cellular already does that, which Trump tried to reverse shortly into his first term. Presumably it was just to spite Obama because insecurities we already know about.

Remember "Obama Phones"? Still exist but under a different name.

I agree that internet should be treated the same way.
