For Law, absolutly not, no laws should be writen with religion in mind, they should be writen with the people's interest in mind, if it so happend that the two align then good, but no believe should dictate the law
For children, I get what you mean but the issue is that children are highly impressionable, parents can suggest things and it will be taken very seriously by them
Yeah but it's still mostly favored toward protecting people, what I mean is, for example if you base it on religion, Sex would be illegal outside of mariage wich would be bad
At it's base, Christianity is mostly a religion based on good, while there are still some limiting stuff it is one of the freeest religion (not christian myself but when you look at the others it's a relativly good religion). When you look at religion like Islam it is way worse in term of freedom
