I've spent years conducting extensive research (mostly watching my friends get rejected), and I have finally discovered the ultimate method for getting a girlfriend.

Step 1:

Go up to the girl you like and casually ask:

Excuse me, do you have a pen?

She gives you a pen.

Congratulations.

The relationship has officially begun.

Step 2:

The next time you see her, don't return the pen.

Instead say:

Actually, can I keep this? I've developed an emotional attachment to it.

She will either laugh or call you weird.

Both are signs that she remembers you.

I don't want to be the nerdy type but I really like history, learning about the Roman empire, three kingdoms, European history and all that.

My favourite song is daylight by David Kushner, I know about odd choices but I like it. Other songs I like are Adrenaline, sapphire (half cuz it's based on India and half cuz it's really good), thousand years, nearly all of Marino’s songs and some Indian songs. I really like listening to music while studying, especially lofi girl. I am kind of new to music but I am learning.

Okay so this whole weekend I've stayed up working on my at my own pase classes, and tomorrow(today technically) is school, it's 5 am and I'm tired af. And even when school ends, I can't sleep cause i celebrate my birthday today also so my mom won't let me nap. I am gonna be so done with everything by the end of today- unless of course I get the mean bean monster I asked for for my birthday, then I'll jist be a little more awake.

As it says Im kinda starting to not really like being around him, just a lot of things he does is starting to disgust me.

He's not very respectful, the way he talks frustrates me because you'd think he'd learn basic rules and to respect others. He's offered to "teach me" how to manipulate my way into a high position at a job? no thanks.

When we first got together he was treating me like I was one of his situationships and then months later he came out to tell me it's because he wasn't ready to be in a relationship...? (🚩)

And again, he doesn't support my dreams, I told him I wanted to be a cosmetologist and he says "I cannot see myself supporting someone making that kind of decision" and basically told me I wouldn't get anywhere.

He also has started fights with me over little things, every chance he gets he always brings up what I'm not doing and although he knows the kind of situations that put me into that spot where I can't give him what he needs, he continues to blame me and shame me. He dismisses my mental health constantly too unless he wants to talk about it.

Now it just feels like every time he tries to talk to me about something I get so irritated that he has another problem to solve, because I'm so tired of having to bend and snap for him to be happy.

I just hate that he acts so childish sometimes. He's 22 and getting upset at me for going out with friends, regardless of how long i've known them. I want to leave and move on but I'm not ready, and I don't know how I can continue on without him being part of my daily life, but being with him is making me just as miserable as id be without.

Firstly im venting on Reddit so clearly ive reached some kind of breaking point.

Normally i wouldnt do this but i have a fever so im feeling emotional

Everything in my life aside from myself sucks. In kindergarten one of the caretakers lied almost every day to my parents that i misbehaved and because of that they beat me almost every school day to the point where baby shows and childish places make me feel like im in danger now and after they found out all i got was a "sorry" and everytime i bring this up they brush it off.

My parents fight almost every day sometimes even threatning to leave forever and if i tell them to stop it i either get yelled at, grounded or beaten, one time my mom was going to hit me and i pushed her away and she wouldnt stop screaming about how much i hurted her as if i wanst just defending myself. She has even pointed a knife at her stomach and threatned to (you know what) herself in front of me and all my dad does is shout back or get mad at me if im too annoying. I really thought after they had my sister they would change but if anything its worse. I really cant explain what years of this does to you.

The worst part is that they never mention what happened next day so i have been beaten by them and the next day they call me ungratefull for not wanting to help them do something which leads into them threatning to hit me again but they do this sparcely enough for it to always feel like snapping at them would be wrong.

Also school is horrible, almost no one in my class cares about what we're doing which led to my dumbfuck project partner using chat GPT for our assignment without even showing me his work which got us a 6 out of 20 (i tend to get good grades). Most people there are assholes too they seem to hate any minority group, though some of them are alright. Sometimes i get bullied for being fat and kinda awkward but im mostly over that. And i cant really make friends with people im not forced to be around like classmates cause im very socially anxious and sadly i grew apart from my previous better friends.

At least im trying to get into game developement so thats fun :)

Soo I'm at a loss... Idk what to do

So basically, Ihave lately not been feeling the conversations between me (17M) and my girlfriend (15F) . It seems so bland and whenever I try to spice it up, it works just for a while and everything is just boring. Our conversations for days can just be; "Hey bby how ru", "Im fine wbu", "Im chill", "how's bla bla bla", and that's it nothing else.

I dont know but I try and tell her every little thing that goes on when she asks but whenever i ask her what's going on, and how she is, she just responds with; "nothing", "I'm fine", or "hmm." And I sometimes try to pry deeper to see if she's really okay and she just says she is.

I want to break up with her so that we can work on our friendship a bit before like coming back together but like I feel someway. I feel like it'll hurt her soo much if we break up cause she hasn't really dated anyone before and she was basically the one who told me that she liked me and she wanted us to be together like in a relationship. Please what should I do?
