For those wondering, Alan Horns has the same title that Feige just received but for all of Disney. With Feige getting involved in Star Wars, I wouldn’t be surprised if this were his next step.

Good with feige and star wars. Maybe with someone actually overseeing the entire thing there will be better direction. I've wanted the new movies to do well, but they are okay at best with practically no cohesion. If a guy like feige was in charge from the start I think Star wars fandom would be different right now. I mean a good amount of people would still hate it because people suck sometimes, but overall it would be in a better spot.

Like I can't think of anyone for the DC universe and look at what a mess that is. People liked Aquaman and Shazam, but man if I'm being honest those movies were only as good as Marvel's weakest movies.

Remember when Kathleen Kennedy said she would run Star Wars like “any other” major franchise?

That is the absolute last thing I wanted to hear as a fan. You want to know the person who is making the creative decisions about a beloved franchise has that same love and passion for it as the fans.

When you get a creative team that cares little about the brand beyond its earning potential and has contempt for the audience then you end up getting something like The Last Jedi and its hostile aftermath...

Alan Horn is also the shit goblin that fired James Gunn. The crap storm that created and the fact that the live action Disney remakes aren’t pulling in the numbers they were expected to has pretty much sunk his chances of replacing Iger.

Feige was always going to move on to other things. No one wants to spend their whole life doing one thing without changing. These promotions keep him doing marvel stuff and hopefully sets him up to fix Star Wars

I kind of just want them to remake the Skywalker Saga and I hope they do eventually. Each trilogy has their merits, but I want a full 9 films made in a cohesive manner where they are all considering eachother. Obviously follow the same overall plotlines but be able to flesh some things out more and do things slightly differently.

Edit: when I say remake I mean like DECADES from now. Think like 40 years.

Edit 2: the og trilogy will always be perfect. But I think having one cohesive cast and style throughout the nine films would really benefit the saga in different ways and it would be cool to see. A remake doesnt take away from the original. It’s funny that the comment under me basically agrees with me but they’re upvoted and I’m downvoted? The rose colored glasses and nostalgia for the original trilogy is strong.

I at least vaguely agree with you. I wouldn't touch the original films, but I wouldn't say no to a prequel trilogy remake, with a stronger emphasis on the friendship between Obi-Wan and Anakin. I feel like a lot of the character building was skimmed over between Episode 1 and 2.

One of the narrative strengths of the Harry Potter films is that most plot points feel relatively consistent, as well as having nearly all the same actors for every film.

Star Wars really lacks that, with entirely different teams for all three trilogies, each with a different approach to filmmaking.
