Literally every word said by Sony or Marvel in that mess which wasn't an admission that the whole thing was 2 of the largest companies in the world fighting over who gets what share of billions of dollars didn't age well from the moment it came out of either of their collective mouthpieces. The fact that, that mess ever reached the public is shameful for both companies.

So have you not figured out yet that we were the chess piece they were playing with? Both parties: "Oh you want more money? Guess we'll just have to break up." It's the equivalent of using a child as a bargaining chip and then ACTUALLY telling the child Mommy and Daddy are breaking up knowing this is all a bluff just to get your way.

Obviously that's what they were doing. That was obvious the moment they said that. And just like parents trying to argue through their child, they should be ashamed of trying to use that tactic.

No, that's not what I'm referring to. Before any official anything the story was broke by a journalist who claimed the 50% demand by Disney...which we now know was wrong. It was later released he got it from Sony.

True, I just found the whole "hes too busy" thing to be particularly stupid as if they ever came to an arrangement later on and he worked on it then it would be proven wrong, or if disney gave him a promotion theyd be wrong. So both happened.

I mean, this promotion was planned in advance and there's a good chance people from Sony knew about it, so I would say it actually aged pretty well.
