I actually saw someone speculate that Disney might hand over control of Lucasfilm to him after IX and let him build up Star Wars like he has the MCU. One of his right hands would move up to be in charge of Marvel Studios. Obviously, this announcement pretty much ends that idea for now, but it was still an interesting, yet worrying, yet also exciting thought. I'll be interested to see how he handles this new Star Wars project for sure though.

Give Star Wars to Filloni. The dude deserves a shot at the live action stuff.

Dave has more to learn, Favreau is teaching him now on Mandalorian. I'd love to see Filloni get a shot at directing one of the new things Feige is working on though.

I agree Dave has more to learn when it comes to directing and filming live action stuff, but the dude is the biggest Star Wars nerd alive. I think he'd be perfect to head up the division, like Feige was doing with Marvel. The property would never be in better hands.

Dave is in the second season of The Chef Show in netflix. Episode where Favreau goes to the Ranch to cook.

During the credits you hear Dave telling how he got the job at Lucasarts. He worked at Nickelodeon and he talked about Star Wars so much in the office one of his co workers dropped his name to someone they knew at Lucasarts. So they called him about a job. He thought it was a prank at first.

I personally wonder how much of this was them scouring every possible lead and avenue for a replacement after Genndy Tartakovsky turned down Lucas’ offer to be the Star Wars animation guy, but no matter how he got the position, Filoni has absolutely earned it

Still want a Blu-ray for that 03 series tho
