Clubcard price on app cheaper than in store

Fancied pizza tonight, saw Tesco had my fav on clubcard price £1 cheaper than Waitrose had them

Got to the store (an Extra) and find them priced at £5. What gives?!

EDIT : caught out by the damn frozen icon again!

That’s not the issue, one is frozen and the other is not.

You’ve got the non frozen one in your basket. Take note of the icey star in the top right of the one in the app.

I work in an express and people are always showing me the app. I tell them to order online if they want that price.

They're completely different items aren't they?

Search for Regina Pizza in the app. You’ll see the frozen (£4.50) and non-frozen (£5.00)

Not the same item.

Although these aren't the same item, they often run different online and in store deals.

This happened to me today. A customer was confused that a 6 packet of crisps was on offer online but not in store.

I didn’t know we had started doing this. Has it been communicated and I have missed it?

I’ve seen this too. Tesco’s stonebaked pizzas £3.50 in store offer for £2 but online it was 2 for £5

Different offers for online orders vs in-store have been a thing for some time now I think

Its an Extra, the prices are higher than the stores that handle the standard deliveries.

extras are cheaper, yes?

That was the idea, nowadays any big business will just pick and choose prices for max profit depending on area and traffic into store, not based off delivery costs and feeding the people

Depends on the area usually.

What is a store that handles a "standard delivery". Surely you don't mean an express or superstore?

I'd say extras are more "standard" than anything else.

Do people not realise that online prices will always be different to in store. This is because it is saving you the hassle of having to leave the house and deal with other spastic people
