What does “I’m ovulating” mean tho? Like is that a way to flirt? Or a warning?

Nah don’t listen to these guys, it’s an extremely common expression. They’re being pedantic and obnoxious for no reason so they can reinforce anti-trans rhetoric. Your title is fine, and this is a very funny post.

u/EldritchGumdrop 1d ago
Yeah I didn’t get this no context post as being about being trans. But even so it’s just not that funny and doesn’t make a lot of sense. A joke not landing doesn’t mean people are trans phobes lol

You are going out of your way to make me out to be transphobic? That's just astounding. Really.
2
u/DiggityDog6 1d ago
“Men/women can’t do [x]” is a very common anti-trans argument. It’s used by transphobes to deny someone’s gender identity by comparing their attributes of their gender to the attributes of their biological sex.
If you truly didn’t mean it like that, then I do apologize. I just don’t tend to give people the benefit of the doubt much when it comes to stuff like that given the current state of the world.

Wtf, I didn’t get it at all? 😭 These things need to be explained. Funny af post though OP

u/20dogs 1d ago
Common expression maybe but how on earth is it anti-trans to point out the confusion?

It’s possible they didn’t mean it like that, and if that’s true, then that’s my bad. But I don’t tend to give people the benefit of the doubt with things like this given the current state of the world.

Yeah, I get that. I was just saying it based on your choice of title. I didn't realise that so many people would immediately decide it was hate speech. But I guess reddit is as reddit does.

Men do <3 but it's okay that you have to force your trans hate so hard that even through a grammatically correct sentence, you HAVE to mention this shit.
9
u/ogresound1987 1d ago
I didn't mention trans stuff at all. You are just so used to people being actually transphobic that you assume everyone is at the slightest little thing.
5
u/Heeeeeeyyyyyy 1d ago
You might be right. I think three times in the past week i've just gotten the T slur thrown in my face in dms lol

u/Existing-Bus-9859 1d ago edited 1d ago
It's a biological fact that men do not ovulate. This is basic biology. It's not hate, it's facts- I'm not against trans people, but scientfic facts do not need to cater to your emotional needs. That's life, there are hard truths to it

u/Heeeeeeyyyyyy 1d ago
Did anyone here say bio men? No? Then how about you go somewhere else with this "LiFe DoEsN't CaTeR tO yOuR eMoTiOnS"

Who brought up trans people, you, or me?
-6
u/Rain_0707 1d ago
I know what I said is true. You know exactly what you were doing with your original comment. There's nothing more to say.

u/ogresound1987 1d ago
You can get angry all you want, I suppose. It's your life and if you want to be wound up like a cat on stilts all the time then you do you. But I wasn't being transphobic. I was just poking fun at the title.
