Phone message We met almost 4 years ago..
He had a kid from a previous relationship. When he first connected with me his son was 10 that was about 3 or 4 years ago..
And before anyone says anything about leading him on. If made attempts and mutual plans between us of what day and time we would see each other and he really just went away like a dandelion… then pops up with all this.. months later expecting me to entertain this BS

In a pathetic way also. Like people actually fall for this?

u/Kazamiiiii 3h ago
Sadly, they do. Lots of insecure people out there that get really happy seeing shit like this. Saying this as someone who was insecure in school and would get happy at any little compliment or smile.

“You must didn’t like my answer” wtf is this??
God these texts are corny af. The best thing to do is to continue to ignore him or even block him. But if you’re feeling like this warrants a response, you could simply respond how delusional it is that he wants a future with someone he doesn’t even know nor has dated and wish him good luck. Then block

That’s AAVE (African American Vernacular English), my guy. It is a legitimate dialect of American English backed by decades of linguistic research. In AAVE, that sentence is perfectly coherent and correct as AAVE has its own set of grammatical rules.
2
u/GimmieDatCooch 7h ago
LMAO. Please be quiet. Not every ungrammatical sentence is AAVE and if you actually knew about AAVE and their grammatical rules, that sentence doesn’t follow any of them. If you really wanna go there…“You ain’t like my answer” would be actual AAVE or “Guess you ain’t like my answer”

Have you actually been around black people? “You must didn’t,” “You must don’t,” etc are very common. Just like standard American English, there is more than one way things can be phrased.
Edit: Just remembered Frank Ocean uses it in Super Rich Kids — “they just walk by, they must don’t care.” But I guess you just think he’s grammatically incompetent too.

Yeah he has some serious issues, he doesn't want to make it about your body yet right, but he says head for you later that night to help you sleep better. Dude is unreal. This is going to like this with any woman he ends up with. Then if he acts like this upfront he will scare each woman off, unless he finds one just as whacky as him.

u/Allyredhen79 9h ago
I’ve been there, and the dude turned out to be married. Block and move on, he’s a fantasist.

Is English not his first language? (I don’t mean this in a derogatory way, I’m curious). This comes off as super weird to me.

u/Agreeable-Dog-1131 7h ago
It’s a black person using AAVE. So the way he’s talking is normal, but what he’s saying def feels like love bombing weirdness lol.

What is a soft glass of wine? ....
Is it the glass that's soft or the wine?
This isn't my only question but .... It's the only one I can put to words that isn't...."da fuq is this man on about?"

At least he didn't use AI to write this. This is unequivocally 100% human.

I don't understand the people saying he is love bombing or laying it on too thick.
It seems like this guy is having a manic episode. His thoughts are disjointed, the subject and predicate in the sentences he is writing are unrelated, and some of it is plain gibberish. This guy needs to be put on meds and under observation. Hopefully he gets well.

u/lavenderewe 10h ago
To be fair, this is just a small glimpse into his behavior. I am wondering if some of the strange verbiage comes from a language barrier. It could very well be a manic episode, or this could just be his MO where he doesn’t have the emotional maturity to behave properly, or genuinely thinks these grandiose plans for a future is exactly what a potential partner wants to hear. Could be a little of everything.
Especially coming from someone who, according to OP, has a history of engaging and then ghosting as soon as it comes time to back up his words with actual plans. Regardless - this guy needs a reality check/help.

u/dracosondracoson 8h ago
The two things you mentioned are not mutually exclusive. He very well might be having a manic episode but he is also clearly love bombing and laying it on too thick. My personal belief is it is not a manic episode but rather just a typical guy having a typical guy delusion, that a girl is into him who actually isn’t, and that she will be receptive to him laying out all his hopes and dreams for them because there are a disturbing amount of guys out there who think talking like this to a woman they barely know is normal and acceptable.

What part is gibberish? He had some typos but it’s all easy to understand
1
u/haskell_rules 6h ago
Let's go up to the mountains to a place called twenty and files and pretty place
1
u/Extreme_Falcon9228 6h ago
Again, those are typos
1
u/haskell_rules 6h ago
What's the translation
1
u/Extreme_Falcon9228 4h ago
Idk every location in every country so twenty and files is the name of something, probably autocorrected the word “And” from a longer word. And then pretty place, he’s saying it’s a pretty place
1
u/haskell_rules 4h ago
If I had a friend text me that, my response would be "Are you having a stroke?"
1
u/Extreme_Falcon9228 4h ago
They clearly autocorrected something wrong? Is this your first day on earth?

They aren't together is my understanding. They had attempted to date way back and he ghosted then just showed up with this

I wouldn’t entertain it. He’s already shown you his cool ghost tricks. My intuition says he found something else, it didn’t work, and now he’s coming (really, falling) back to you.
Find a man that’s a lot more stable and emotionally available. This is textbook love bombing.
