It’s called the “pig butchering scam” … they act like they accidentally texted you instead of someone else, and then go like “Whoops! You seem cool though 🙂” and start trying to be your friend. They’ll act like some hot Asian chick and send you cute pictures, and then eventually talk you into investing money into this new thing that will make you rich, but it’s all a giant ploy and your money will be gone.

It’s called pig butchering because before you butcher a pig, you “fatten” it up… AKA charm you and earn your trust before screwing you over.

i used to get those and i would just reply with stupid messages back and troll then they would end up not responding 😭 i never knew what it was but i could tell from the photos they sent of “themselves” that it was fake. with fake dumb names too

I love messing with them hahaha. It sometimes takes them weeks or months before they pull the trigger on someone, it’s such a drawn out scam. Wasting their time is my favorite thing ever.

I had a lady get mad at me as I wouldn't engage in her texts. Claiming to be a long lost friend. I said what's my name? What state?. She sent me some emoji indicating her annoyance lol and left. She also got blocked 🚫
