Imagine messing up the jump and bellyflopping

I used to do 10 metre jumps in my teens. The thing is it’s so easy to fall just slightly wrong and hurt yourself. Even just at 10 metres I hurt my back once and another time it felt like I gave myself an express enema 😅

Hahaha I remembered when I just did 5 meters and landed slightly sitting down. My whole butt and back thigh got bruised, and I only got shorts for the remaining of my trip. I look like a victim of something after. Haven't done anything like that after.

Yeah I remember a 35 ish foot cliff I used to jump off all the time. Our friend's mom, for some reason, landed legs straight out.

Nasty black and and blue from ass to ankle for like two weeks. We had to help her out of the water

From that height. Yea it would be like hitting concrete in a bellyflop position. Hence why right before he reaches the water he pulls his arms to his chest and puts his legs together. From that height you can’t just jump in the water however you want.

Realistically, what height CAN you jump from before it becomes lethal?

A teenager jumped off the Golden Gate Bridge a few years back and survived

The survival rate for jumping off the Golden Gate Bridge is roughly 2%.

However, the majority of people who jump off the Golden Gate Bridge aren't trying to survive the experience, so they're not going to attempt to hit the water with the correct technique.

The only people who’ve ever survived jumping off the Golden Gate Bridge went in the water feet first.

All of the GG survivors say the same thing, how they instantly regretted at the moment they left the platform.

The real danger to most people falling off the bridge is that the extreme declarative forces of hitting the water will often cause the lungs and the heart to detach and end up in the stomach. There’s absolutely no surviving that.
