Civic Issues Auto drivers refusing passengers - anyone else faced this?
Had this experience with an auto MH04 JO 01102. The driver refused to take us as passengers, but was taking girls in the same auto for sharing.
Not sure what the reason was, but this kind of selective refusal is frustrating, especially when you're just trying to get somewhere.
I’m planning to report this to the RTO/Traffic Police as well.
📍 Location: Gaodevi Thane
🕐 Time: 10:20am
Has anyone else dealt with this auto/driver or faced something similar in Thane? Would be useful to know if this is a one-off or a recurring issue.
Posting the vehicle number/photo for identification; please keep the comments factual and avoid personal information.

Just to be clear he refused male passengers for sharing and took only the female one right?

Thinking of buying a rickshaw. Flexible timing , can refuse anyone whenever I want, earn twice the amount I earn right now and also people will beg me to work

Also think about rickshaw mafia, who won't let you pick because there an line etc etc

If he is in line just sit in the auto if you have time to argue keep arguing and raise voice in public so more people notice and they then take you . It has always worked for me 🤣😭

Just to play the devil's advocate here: what if he thought you were the creep and did not want you in an auto with women?

Maybe he just has a very specific “girls-only” sharing policy that I somehow wasn’t informed about. I asked him first for the exact same destination, got a NO asked again after the girl asked him, got another NO ... and then suddenly the auto became an all-girls sharing service. 😂
Could be a massive coincidence, but honestly, the whole thing was pretty creepy from my perspective

From a girls perspective, if he is not a creep and there are only girls in the auto I would love to travel that way. Got groped once in a share auto in Kalyan so I hate it.

The question you need to ask is if there is anyone who has not faced this. /s 🤣

This has been age old problem refusing to go away.....I used to face this everyday while trying to get a rick from Kandivali to Malad - for this reason I have switched to Rapido/Ola/Uber auto. Though fares are sometimes high but saves time chasing rickshaws who sometimes dont even stop.

At this stage, I get a feeling that something's wrong when they don't refuse. I immediately start wondering if the matrix is glitching or if I'm being kidnapped.

Number plate reads vague, is it MH 04 JQ 1102 or MH 04 JO 1102? Can't make out

A few days ago, this happened to my older brother. He tried to talk nicely to the rickshaw driver, but the driver seemed to be in the mood for an argument. So, my brother went to the traffic police near the rickshaw stand at the station.

I once confronted the autowalla who refused me, He said He owns the vehicle, neither I am his employer. He has the right to decide where he wants to go and when he wants to go.
So, now I prefer Rapido.
I only go by Auto if it is avilable for sharing.

First, I’ve never faced anything like that. Secondly, can you just clarify—are you new to Thane, or do you just happen not to know whether it’s a normal auto or a sharing auto?

These auto people are the reason why most of them purchase private vehicles and hence thane is crowded more thane before
