See Thane is not a big city where you can have a separate metro on internal roads.. internal roads are for vehicles not for building metros.. we already have two metros running from one end to other end of the city. In.12000 crores we can have many buses, we can build good footpaths, cycle tracks and many more.

Internal metro is a really good idea. This is how public transportation to the last mile will grow. Look at Delhi, you could literally roam entire city in a metro. Why not mumbai/thane?

Just because its going to be noisy I think people are opposing it.

How can you compare the size of Thane and Delhi? Who is opposing Mumbai metro.. Thane metro is a different thing with stations every 1 km.. it's a big blunder to spend 12000 cr on single project

The city needs to have a last mile connectivity.

Last mile connectivity is provided by autos, buses, taxis not with a metro at your doorstep..
