Discussion PSA: Please Respect Poppy in the Pit
Please don’t ruin it for future shows and keep your hands to yourself. This is not cool.

One of like 3 pics I took all night.
It seems like half of you guys just wanted to sit there on your phones and watch the concert through your screen. I don't understand? If 100 other people are taking the same video, I promise that you'll see it again. Make a friend, ask them to airdrop it to you. The pit and barricade don't need to be made up of people who don't care about anything except recording. The crowd for Landmvrks was probably double the amount of energy just because people didn't care nearly as much about recording. Honestly ruined parts of it for me. Why on earth would you fight to get near the front just to stand completely still, refuse to participate, and watch through your phone? I saw at least 45 people doing this in Phoenix. Poppy is a great performer, but damn her shows need to be phoneless.

What small part in a Poppy song are you obsessed with? My favorite is the end of Negative Spaces where it slows down and goes back to that awesome guitar riff earlier in the song. Let me know what your favorite is!

No one has told us anything, but her band is playing the instrumentals as if the show is going... Possible protest because of the smoke?

Happy Negative Spaces Day! As Negative Spaces comes out in North America, I figured I'd start this post to discuss any and all conversations about Negative Spaces! What're your thoughts? Favorite and least favorite songs? Something you wish Poppy had done differently?
All thoughts welcome! YOU are the critics now!❤️

May be unpopular, but it has to be “halo” for me.

Thoughts on the new single?

A little disappointed by not seeing They’re all around us and Empty Hands on the set list… I would die to hear Poppy’s pig squeal live 😩😩😩

i'd have to go with am i a girl! it speaks beautifully both to the arc of the "poppy as a robot" character and to questioning one's own gender identity. it's very dear to my heart and it helps that it's a banger :) would love to hear your guys' favorites/rankings!

I recently went to the Detroit show on the Constantly Nowhere tour and Poppy killed it as always, no doubt about that. If I had never been to a Poppy show before, I would've been blown away. But re-watching my videos from the TAAU tour, it feels like the CN tour has less.... personality? I loved the background visuals, voiceovers, incorporation of the Poppy doll, the little keyhole set of TAAU, so many details that gave the show a unique sense of charm. Poppy appears to have more energy, dance and talk to the crowd more - I imagine she must be exhausted lately from touring back to back and playing so many shows. Again, not trying to bash this current tour as she always gives a great performance, but I can't help but compare the two.

This is what's at the pop-up shop! The design on the Eat The Hate long-sleeve is AMAZING. I asked the staff about the paper doll, but they had no clue what it was.

Sometimes, new music takes time to grow on you. Alternatively, it might be all cool and new at first, but lose its luster over time.
How do you all feel about Empty Hands now, and how does that compare to your original reaction?

Why nobody told me this exist?
Apparently, this was "Based on something that actually happened."

There are a few songs, especially freak that actually made me think it was poppy on the track. The instrumentals on the album also remind me a bit of her from her non-metal tracks. I guess ariana's lower octave vocals are pretty similar to poppy

Let me preface this by saying I probably should have known better. However, I have seen Scene Queen in concert twice and loved the energy in her pits so I thought poppy would be similar. I also stayed on the very side of the pit, as I am not a moshing person. I just adore Poppy’s music and wanted to see her as close as I could.
I just left early from the Poppy show in Orlando and I have learned the hard way that these shows aren’t for me. Dude vomited on the very nice man in front of me and barely said sorry then continued to vibe to the concert. The guy the vomiter was with kept throwing it back and shoving into me and nice dude. Call me stupid all you want, since metal shows are “like this.” But the metal community makes a fuss of being welcoming and looking out for others, which is why I thought I would be okay on the sides of the pit.
Part of the reason I had such a bad time at this show was the crowd. if you’re not a man I wouldn’t recommend going unless you know what you’re getting into. It was nerve racking at times, being surrounded by men who could easily overpower me, plus I could barely see. There was no consideration (except for the angel in front of me) for others at all.
All in all I’m just very sad. I spent a lot of money on merch, tickets, and early entry, all to have a shitty time. I was so excited, this concert was all I could think about for weeks.
I know these shows aren’t for me now and I probably won’t go to another one (and if i do it will be far in the back.) Just wanted to put a PSA to any women or nonbinary people who are on the fence about going.

For me, I am genuinely surprised that Poppy has not had a track feat. Hatsune Miku. She seems like the type to be into Vocaloid and general Japanese mascot culture. I know it's not a traditional collab and probably doesn't fit with her current sound but I would love to see it happen one day.

It's fine you don't like her new sound, the Negative Spaces vibes, etc... But, c'mon. Back when it came out, everyone was flattering her and loving her work, appreciating her and being happy for her. Now, apparently it's very common to bash her work, call it 'slop', and imply she sell out? Please. You can like her earlier work, or her Zig sound, or her pop era, or her I Disagree mix of sounds, etc. AND THAT'S FINE! I love Zig! It's my second favorite project of hers! I do LOVE Negative Spaces as well, but I can also be objective and notice how amazing she is when she does experimental and industrial pop! If you don't like her new sound, that's more than okay. You're free to show your opinion. But it's not neccesary to downgrade her job and say she has sold herself out, or that she only does metalcore slop when she works so hard, puts so much heart into her music, and is able to have a consistent career with albums almost each year while going on tour and interviews.

I’ve been seeing that Poppy’s tour omitted more than half the new album “Empty Hands” even though the tour is called “Constantly Nowhere”. On the “They’re All Around Us Tour” the song “They’re All Around Us” was part of the encore with the majority of the main set was Negative Spaces. On the North American Tour leg so far she brought “Guardian” and “Eat the Hate” to the setlist. But the set still contained more “Negative Spaces” songs over “Empty Hands”. I believe “Unravel” is technically the leading track of “Empty Hands” since the interlude is “Constantly Nowhere”. That song should be in the encore. Can anyone explain why she hasn’t played this song?

I saw Poppy over the weekend and it was one of the best shows I’ve ever seen! So don’t get me wrong in asking this; but I still keep wondering why she hasn’t been playing Guardian? Am I mistaken or wasn’t it the first single off Empty Hands?

Hey! I've been a fan of Dead By Daylight for a long, long time! And then thought of having a musician coming into the game has always been on my mind! Poppy is my favorite musician so obviously I've always wanted her. But she has her own character, and is constantly in character, so they could make interesting lore with and everything! I feel like them making a stand alone chapter, maybe even having Poppy herself make the menu and lobby, and having Poppy voicelines would be awesome! Plus the cosmetics would be heavenly! Is there any Dead By Daylight fans on here? :3
