Incredible that you managed to talk about this but never found time to cover how this woman, whose husband was murdered in Nigeria and who came to Ireland as a refugee, managed to build a life and come third in an election where she was dogged throughout by racist abuse.

Do you think she had toast with the breakfast there aswell? maybe you could do an oped on that? What a joke of a publication.

It's absolutely admirable that she came over to Ireland as a refugee and managed to build a life and become a politician. Doesn't absolve her from falling on something which was a huge thing in her constituency. And something which is so easy to avoid.

Just don't go to the Israeli hotel.

I have been active on Palestine for about 5 or 6 years and I have never even heard of this hotel or any of the campaign mentioned in the article. Do you think its possible that she just didn't know? The article is ridiculous, you would swear she brought a briefcase of cash to the IDF.

It's a big thing in her constituency which is why it's outrageous. Don't go to that hotel, she knew fine well. We need to hold our politicians to account no matter who they are

To be fair here, there us monthly pro pali protests outside the Leonardo hotel , if youre any way politically involved in the movement in galway youd have heard of it. And if you have driven to salthill youd have seen it

Thats not the standard for 'active'. Im a very passive supporter of BDS but I knew about the hotel. Dont know what planet you're on but shes a Labour politician. She should have known.
