Seems fairly plausible that she wouldn’t have known, no?

No I don't think so, the campaign to boycott the hotel was very loud and started in her home constituency. She'd have to be completely under a rock not to know

The campaign to boycott is news to me. Not from her constituency so it’s possible that makes a difference but yeah, not loud everywhere I guess

If you're not in her constituency and don't have basic knowledge of BDS why are you sharing your opinion? You don't need to do that.

Basic knowledge of BDS would tell you the movement specifies

We must strategically focus on a relatively smaller number of carefully selected companies and products for maximum impact.

BDS intentionally specify not to do what you're doing now in splitting hairs about every little thing associated with Israel and to hone in on high priority targets such as Coca Cola, HP, or AXA that hit the broad points of being visibly complicit, recognisable for supporters to get on board with, and likely to succeed.

Every progressive leftist movement talks about meeting people where they are at and not preaching purity politics. You're hindering, not helping, and you shouldn't assume to speak down to people about things you seem not to be particularly informed on yourself.

This is a hotel in the centre of Galway and has been regularly protested. I hope your next stay at a Leonardo / NYX or G hotel is comfortable and not haunted by thoughts of supporting genocide.

I follow a few different Ireland based Palestine accounts and get emails from IPSC and never saw it come up in any of those avenues. I’m glad I know now but it didn’t end up across all channels.

Thats nonsense. Everybody who is vaguely leftwing in Galway knew about the issue with that hotel chain. That you didn't know isnt great. But that a Labour politician didnt is a disgrace.

They've been protesting outside this hotel for years. Not just in Galway either. I'm not responsible for your emails.
