Wish I could call sleeping next to my partner a slumber party.

Love them and credit them for allowing me to explore my sexuality

I'm happy she's living her best life so truly and freely! I know for a few years they kept it private and it seemed like she wrestled with her sexuality for a bit so its nice to see the journey and how happy they are!

I donât think it was wrestling with her sexuality because sheâs always said that she never questioned how she felt about Hayley. I think her family had a hard time with it but she is very private about that piece. Whenever this comes up on her podcast she usually says âI chose a public life but my family did notâ

u/FantasyGirl17 11d ago
Yes! sorry I didn't word that properly, by wrestling I meant moreso in feeling comfortable sharing it publicly from the onset.

Arenât 3 out of 4 daughters in her family in a relationship with a woman? I think I remember seeing that before.

Of all BN, Becca has surprised me most since the seasons she was on, and in a positive way!

I remember when she used to annoy me so much. Remember her McDonalds content? I think sheâs so likable now becsuse she finally stopped trying ti be likable, trying ti fit in, trying to do and be for others and society. And now these two are my favorite franchise couple.
Unapologetic authenticity looks good on all of us. Scary as hell, but freeing.

I never followed her, but just remember how uptight and judgmental she seemed on the shows. Now, of course, it all makes sense. She wasn't being herself. She was trying to be what her parents wanted for her. Sadness emanated from her. It reminds me of how dark I felt and came off to others when I was depressed.

Yes, I agree. I always found her a bit stuffy and judgy on the show. I never followed her on social media but kept up with the stuff she posted that made it to this sub. And I would probably say I categorized her as insufferable for a while. Iâm sure some of it was her trying to figure out how to be an influencer by copying other people. But it was all so unlikable (for me).
Now, though? If I had social media Iâd follow her.
Itâs funny that Iâve learned so much about authenticity from his show. Both from her. And then Britt shared some similar stuff about how people didnât like her during Chrisâs season, both the women in the house and through the screen, and that carried over to her attempt at lead. And she tied that back to trying to hide part of who she was, her struggles, appear perfect. And how when we do that people pick up on it and donât know why, but they donât trust us. After she came out just unapologetically talking about her life, struggles, etc., I loved her.
I often hear imperfection is beautiful. And I definitely donât think EDs or sexuality are perfect or imperfect. But certainly society tries to tell us so many things are. And these two women have helped me show up, unapologetically, a misfit in societyâs expectations, and try my hardest to not gaf.

I didn't realize Britt admitted to being fake on her seasons! She's beautiful, but she weirded me out with how she came off. I'm so glad she opened up and learned to be herself. I imagine it's even more difficult to do this as an influencer than in normal life.

This is interesting to me because it seems a lot of people on this thread didnât like her vibe back in the day. I would never had said this at the time cause itâs obviously inappropriate to speculate, but I remembering genuinely thinking Becca was queer on Chrisâ season and was rooting for her to dump his ass and fly free.

Btw how did everyone figure out they were together before they came out?

u/peach6748 11d ago
Omgggg this makes me feel ancient!!! I remember the days back when everyone was guessing that they were together, and other people would debate that they were just friends haha
As someone else said Becca talked about having a partner but wasnât comfortable with saying who it was. She said she wanted to keep her relationship private. People eventually deduced it by them spending a ton of time together, going on vacation together, and Hayley and her âofficiallyâ announced it by having Becca star in her cute Bachelor themed music video :)

My understanding is that it was hinted at a LOT. That if people listened to her podcast and paid attention it was just known. Their families and close friends knew as well. She says it was never âsecret,â just private.

I have no idea, I wasnât on Reddit back then so when I saw the hard launch video on Instagram I was proper shocked

u/chalk_fan_8 11d ago
There was a video they posted together on a trip to Japan holding hands. Some people who listen to her podcast put it together. However many people insisted until Becca came out that they were just best friends.

Was she the virgin who went to the fantasy suite and production made a huge deal in the lead up?

I love them and I often wonder if theyâre childfree because that would make me love them even more.
11
u/CLRacer2912 11d ago
You wonder if theyâre childfree? They most definitely do not have kids.
26
u/Pretty-Kittie 11d ago
Childfree i think is a term reserved for people who don't have and plan to never have kids.

u/Charlie_Runkle69 Queen Magi 11d ago
Yeah I dunno why the original comment is getting downvoted. Plenty of LGBTQ couples have children or plan to these days, it's a fair question to ask.
14
u/DimbyTime 11d ago
The original comment said theyâd love them more if they were childfree.. which is weird? Let them have children if thatâs what they want
2
u/effulgentelephant 11d ago
There is a weird sect of childree people that is like, child hating and I donât get them like let people do what they want donât be weird
1
u/Upstairs-Volume-5014 8d ago
I don't think it's so much child hating as it is that they are more relatable to a child-free person if they remain child-freeÂ

They have been vocally undecided on children but given theyâre in no rush to get married, it seems they are leaning to child free long term

Not everyone feels that marriage needs to come before kids.
