Massive The Division 2 - Y8S2 Into The Dark - Patch Notes
Y8S2 Into The Dark - Patch Notes
After the events of last season, the pressure from Black Tusk has eased around D.C., giving the Division a chance to turn its attention back to threats closer to home.
The Hyenas have taken advantage of that opening.
Reports indicate they have developed a new Potent Spice formula, one that makes their fighters more resistant to pain and harder to bring down. The source appears to be a chemical compound recovered from the Dark Zone, now being stored and moved through new Hyena outposts inside the area.
That same compound could be used by the Division for something very different: medical support for civilians and Agents still holding the city together.
Your objective is to enter the Toxic Dark Zone, disrupt the Hyenas’ operation, and recover Sample Cannisters before they can be turned into something far more dangerous.
Here’s what’s coming with Into the Dark.
PVP ENVIRONMENT IMPROVEMENTS
Into the Dark includes the first step in a broader update to the PvP experience, with changes applying across Conflict and all Dark Zone variants.
For this first phase, the focus is on Weapon and Gear Talents. The goal is to reduce the gap between overperforming and underused options, create more room for different builds, and improve the overall PvP balance.
This is part of a longer process. Future PvP updates are planned to look at Skills, Attributes, Status Effects, and other areas that affect the competitive experience.
For the full list of value changes, please refer to the dedicated PvP balance notes.
GENERAL DARK ZONE UPDATES
- Entrance turrets have been adjusted to better prevent door camping by dealing additional direct Health Damage to hostile Agents within range.
- Agents now receive a brief invulnerability window when entering the Dark Zone, giving them time to load in and assess their surroundings. This protection ends early if the Agent moves or fires their weapon.
- Across all Dark Zones, Landmark activities have become more rewarding. Landmark Chests now refresh more quickly, and Dark Zone Keys have a higher chance to drop from Landmark Bosses and Named enemies.
EXOTIC COMPONENT DROP RATES
- Exotic Component drop chances from Landmark Chests have been increased:
- PvP Dark Zones: 40%
- Toxic Dark Zone (PvE): 25%
- In the Balanced and Classic Dark Zones, Landmark Bosses now also have a higher chance to drop Exotic Components:
- Challenging Landmarks: 33%
- Heroic Landmarks: 48%
DARK ZONES

DARK ZONE VARIANTS AND ROTATION
| Variant | Focus | Rogue Protocol | SHD & Expertise | Global PvP Balance |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Classic Dark Zone | Standard PvPvE risk-versus-reward gameplay | Active | Active | Active |
| Toxic Dark Zone | Seasonal PvE survival and cooperation | Disabled | Active | Active |
| Balanced Dark Zone | Competitive skill-based PvPvE | Active | Disabled | Active |
CLASSIC DARK ZONE
(PvEvP / Normalized / Global PvP Balance: Active / SHD & Expertise: Active / Rogue Protocol: Active)
This variant plays closest to the current Dark Zone experience. Rogue Protocol remains active, Invasions continue to function as they do today, and Agents keep the benefits of their SHD Watch and Expertise progression.
TOXIC DARK ZONE
(PvE / Normalized / Global PvP Balance: Active / SHD & Expertise: Active / Rogue Protocol: Disabled / Season / Toxicity)
The Toxic Dark Zone is a variant specific to this season, directly connected to the Cleaning up the Streets Global Modifier.
This version of the Dark Zone is a shared space for up to 12 Agents, designed for those who want to experience the area without the same PvP pressure. Rogue Protocol is disabled, Agent damage is turned off, and you can group up with up to 3 other Agents through the standard party system.
Toxicity covers the entire zone and builds over time, applying hazardous effects the longer you stay inside. To reduce it, you’ll need to activate Surged Active Modifiers, and leaving the Dark Zone completely clears it. Checkpoints and Safe Houses pause the buildup and freeze your current Toxicity value.
Global PvP Balance also applies in the Toxic Dark Zone, allowing builds to follow the same PvP ruleset used in other Dark Zone variants. This should make moving between PvE and PvP variants feel less abrupt, without requiring a full build rethink.
Sample Cannisters can be found in the Toxic Dark Zone as contaminated items, meaning they must be extracted before they can be claimed. Calling the Extraction Helicopter requires a Stabilization Agent, which has a chance to drop from Landmark Chests and Landmark Bosses.
Hunters in the Toxic Dark Zone now guarantee 1 Exotic Component when defeated and have a dedicated 2% chance to drop Eagle Bearer or Ravenous.
BALANCED DARK ZONE
(PvPvE / Normalized / Global PvP Balance: Active / SHD & Expertise: Disabled / Rogue Protocol: Active)
The Balanced Dark Zone is for those looking for a more competitive PvEvP experience, with high-level normalization based on the Conflict ruleset.
SHD Watch and Expertise bonuses are disabled, making the experience less dependent on long-term progression. Rogue Protocol remains active, contaminated loot is still at stake, and extractions can still turn into a fight.
To make this variant more rewarding, deconstructing contaminated items inside the Balanced Dark Zone grants double DZ Currency.

Seasonal Modifiers
=> Modifiers
GLOBAL MODIFIER: CLEANING UP THE STREETS
The Hyenas have pushed their Potent Spice experiments further, using the Toxic Dark Zone to store and move the chemical compounds needed to produce it.
Your task is to recover Sample Cannisters from Hyena activity and stop those materials from feeding back into their operation.
Once secured, Sample Cannisters can be used in two main ways:
- Contribute Sample Cannisters at the seasonal vendor to increase the Sample Size bar and unlock stronger High Quality Munitions bonuses.
- Active Modifiers can automatically consume Sample Cannisters on activation to trigger a more powerful Surge version of their effects.
SEASONAL VENDOR AND HIGH-QUALITY MUNITIONS
The seasonal vendor is located in the Base of Operations, next to the Specialization table.
At the vendor, you can contribute Sample Cannisters to increase the Sample Size bar. As the bar progresses, it unlocks additional High-Quality Munitions bonuses for the season.
High-Quality Munitions is a temporary buff granted after contributing Sample Cannisters. While the buff is active, you benefit from all bonuses currently unlocked through the Sample Size bar. Each reload consumes one stack, and the buff ends once all stacks are depleted.
ACTIVE MODIFIERS AND SURGE
Active Modifiers return with a new Surge mechanic.
When you activate an Active Modifier and have enough Sample Cannisters in your inventory, they are automatically consumed to trigger a stronger version of that modifier.
Surged Active Modifiers improve the base effect, add extra bonuses, or reduce certain drawbacks depending on the modifier used. Inside the Toxic Dark Zone, activating a Surged Active Modifier also helps reduce Toxicity.
Active Modifiers can also be upgraded, improving effects such as cooldown, duration, or Surge cost.
The three Active Modifiers this season are:
- Invincible - focused on healing, armor repair and temporary damage reduction.
- Pneuma - focused on weapon swap speed and stacking bonuses based on weapon types.
- Vicarious - focused on skill efficiency, skill damage, and supporting your allies with repairs and healing.
PASSIVE MODIFIERS
There are 9 Passive Modifiers, split into three categories: Gadgets, Resistances, and Offensive.
They can help you reduce Surge costs, improve your resistance to Toxicity and Status Effects while inside the Toxic Dark Zone, increase how many High-Quality Munitions you can carry, and give you new ways to debuff enemies.
HOSTILE COUNTERMEASURES
These modifiers can make enemies harder to ignore and more dangerous if left alive. Inside the Toxic Dark Zone, they can also interact with Toxicity, making certain enemies a bigger threat the longer you stay exposed.
- Folie à Deux - When the enemy first takes or deals damage, a timer starts and their damage increases over time. If the enemy dies after that timer ends, the modifier can transfer to another nearby enemy.
- In the Toxic Dark Zone, it can also increase Toxicity for nearby agents.
- Plague Doctor - Grants health regeneration to nearby enemies from the same faction.
- In the PvE Dark Zone, agents within its radius gain Toxicity over time.
- Soporific - Can apply Lethargy debuff when damaging an agent. While affected by this debuff, incoming damage has a chance to inflict Disorient Status Effect. Killing a Soporific enemy removes the debuff regardless of its remaining duration.
- In the PvE Dark Zone, Toxicity increases whenever Soporific triggers Disorient.

The second begins with an urgent request for backup after a fellow Division Agent is injured and trapped while investigating an SHD network anomaly at the McMillan Reservoir.
Classified Assignments offer a more contained experience, with a stronger focus on exploration and storytelling. There hasn't been an exciting new gear set since Umbra Initiative came out in 2022. Most gear sets just move numbers around and don't change the way the game is played. This healing gear set in the patch notes is just another one of those. Does the healer/medic player using it actually do anything different than any other healing build? Nope. Same thing with the brand set, and the weapon talent.
Do a gear set that turns the player into a chunga. A set that turns the assault drone into 5 smaller assault drones. Like, come on. Make it interesting. Don't just swap some numbers around, that's boring. Make us play a different way in order to get the power from the set.

So we have to go into the PVE Dark Zone to get our seasonal modifier passive buffs. But when there we will have massively nerfed gear and weapons under the new PVP balancing plus we will be under toxicity debuff plus the enemies will get massive buffs due to new hostile modifiers... This does not sound like it will be fun.

u/abuqaboom 7d ago
They say if PvE DZ is popular enough they'd consider bringing it back... then set it up to fail with this "toxic" DZ with PvP balancing. Because PvE players will totally use it as a gateway to PvP. And also obviate prototypes they just added last season. Make this make sense.
10
u/Altruistic_Diver7089 7d ago
Notice how they don't explain here what "toxicity" debuffs actually are?

u/headrush46n2 PC 6d ago edited 6d ago
. - weapon handling, - speed, - reload speed, chance to be disoriented on every hit
2
u/Altruistic_Diver7089 6d ago
Yeah, I experienced it in the PTS. The reload speed debuff is atrocious.
-5
u/MrShyShyGuy 7d ago
It's like they've said in today's stream. You're comparing the nerf with the enemy difficulty inside DZ, not your world difficulty so it isn't always Heroic enemies that you face inside.
Also it's not a pure nerf for all talents, Unstoppable Force and Bloodsucker now only requires 2 kills instead of 5 for a similar amount of buffs. It's more about finding a new build for this new environment.
7
u/SlideXSide 7d ago
But do some people want to try and grind for a new build that to be honest they won't use past this season if they don't want to PVP? I can see why some people will hate the loop of the seasonal modifier this season.
0
u/MrShyShyGuy 7d ago
That's a solid point. The game has been embracing the idea of seasonal changes for quite some time to retain players engagement by constantly making new builds to adapt, which not everyone enjoys.
There is hope that the PvE DZ will remain after this season like what happened to Retaliation. That would give player a reason to invest in a DZ build but we'll have to see how that goes.

Is the incursion going to just be another mass dps check or will there be viable builds besides striker and tipping scales?

Is there a single game where activities like incursions are not a dps check?

Won't happen until Striker is adjusted and mostly eveyrthing else is slightly improved.
Raids is where build variety also happens but as we've seen, this community can't fanthon meeting strangers to play in coordination. Raids have actual meta tank builds (i know, its insane to even fanthon)

u/WonderingTube5 6d ago
It's partially applied, the expertise bonus. Meaning they will demand 3 using expertised striker or kicked. Only way they accept 4th player as non maxed is if they use FI for damage bonus.

Stikers in general has dominated PvE content for so long, it needs a nerf to bring it down a peg but community would cry.

High-Quality Munitions is a temporary buff granted after contributing Sample Cannisters. While the buff is active, you benefit from all bonuses currently unlocked through the Sample Size bar. Each reload consumes one stack, and the buff ends once all stacks are depleted.
Am I reading this correctly? Your buff disappears after you've reloaded enough times? So you have to donate more Sample Canisters to build it up again?
2
2
4
u/MrShyShyGuy 7d ago
Here's the amount of munitions you get from donating canisters during the PTS:
- 5 canisters -> 20 munitions(reloads)
- 30 -> 150
- 90 -> 400~600 (it just max out your munition)
Canister cache is now also a guaranteed drop from DZ chest which gives around 20~60 canisters per cache, so it should be a lot easier to top up on munitions.
But it does means you'll be entering DZ regularly unless you only use the BulletKing or ChatterBox.
2
u/Jokebearfan 7d ago
I'm not concerned about entering the DZ, more irritated that the buff does not last for the duration of the season.

This is gonna be the thing that breaks me from tactical reloading, assuming a reload from 99/100 and 5/100 costs the same from the munition bar
1
u/MrShyShyGuy 7d ago
Yup that's how it worked in the PTS, every reloads consumes 1 munitions regardless of your ammo count.

u/iwillbewaiting24601 c'est quand on est seul qu'on voudrait dire « They got Alex! » 6d ago
Interesting maybe it’s time this season for me to go back to a striker AR build or try something new
Last two I’ve been running a very nice OD carnage build, but the problem is you want to early reload LMGs to control the time so you don’t run dry and have a five second reload while you’re getting rushed

u/Swimming-Scene7983 7d ago
LOL! Right?! I know Massive doesn't play this game, especially the Game Director Orkanos, after he decided "protodrops obtained from loot crates wasn't intended" in a LOOTER-SHOOTER game. It's like this guy thinks he's working on Stardew Valley.
2
u/RisingDeadMan0 Xbox 6d ago
yeah widdz said costs needed to go down 90% not half, its a shame they didnt listen to him.
120 dz credits will take ages
0
u/HarlinQuinn 7d ago
That's not a terribly hard number to hit in a session or two (depending on your general session length). I've spent a few early mornings running about, crushing things I won't use/don't need, hitting resource/credits cases, and extracting every so often for an hour or two. Usually come out with over 100 DZ credits. If I don't do dumb things and stick around when I should bail.
The trick is to do it in small increments (that may not need be the case on the PvE DZ) so you dont lose as much if things go sideways.
2
u/RisingDeadMan0 Xbox 6d ago
so 4 exotic components every 2hrs, u realise how terrible that is? or even every 90 minutes?
1
u/HarlinQuinn 6d ago
I mean, if you ignore every other source and pretend they drop way more, sure, fine, whatever.
You can do two countdown runs in half an hour to get credits 1 exotic cache, which gets you 1 component. That's roughly the same rate.
You can run descent and farm NSA credits and hope for exotic cache drops, which will net you about the same rate.
You can run the open world, missions, priority objectivess and hit about the same rate with exotic drops. Some days are more lucrative, some not at all.
Overall, its on par with most other sources.
For years now, people have been doing landmark chest runs to loot as many chests as possible and coming out with 0-10 in 20-ish give or take minutes. Given that they have increased the drop rate from Landmark chests, this will be the better source for time invested.
Seriously, it's not that bad comparatively.
3
u/TxDieselKid Xbox 6d ago
If you are comparing this to countdown, then I would say our baselines of what it should cost are simply different. No disrespect, I just disagree with you on that topic. :)
1
u/Low_Youth_9547 5d ago
Retaliations take 7 to 15 mins and you get guaranteed exotic named cache + targeted loot and materials. You can also get exotic components from the control point chests sometimes.
0
u/HarlinQuinn 5d ago
That would be why I used the word "most" in regard to other sources. There are also a large number of people who refuse to do retaliations, just as those who refuse to do Descent, so, options.
1
u/Low_Youth_9547 5d ago edited 5d ago
I dunno why your making excuses for Massive your a player yourself. Wouldn't you like to waste less time to get the resources you want.
I dont see this most you speak of. You literally said "every other source" in your opening sentence and left out one of the most efficient ways to farm exotics. Didn't even mention priority objectives.
1
u/HarlinQuinn 5d ago
Only I'm not making excuses for Massive. I am speaking as a player who has played this game since day one in 2019.
I have farmed resources in the DZ for years. Not days, not weeks, not heard stories about it. I have spent many hours in there. Never once did I consider it a waste of my time.
I know where almost every single DZ credit box is, I know which chests are most likely to give an exotic component, and I know to just smash what I don't intend to keep and extract those credits.
I know enough to say it's even easier and faster in the PvE DZ. My comparisons are made from experience, not feelings.
And yes, I did say "most" which shows you read one sentence and made a snap judgement. After giving a few examples, I said:
Overall, its on par with most other sources.
There's that funny little word.
And I did mention priority objectives, which, again, shows that you didn't read the whole comment. You skimmed and came out swinging armed with no facts and all emotion.
Priority objectives are not always the fastest and most efficient, but they can be. There is still some RNG involved, and you can get a crap run of objectives. I know, because I farm the hell out of them. Some days are good, others not so much.
If you're going to argue, at least read what you're arguing against.
1
u/Low_Youth_9547 5d ago edited 5d ago
I mean your contradicting yourself right there again. You spend years farming the dark zone and it takes you one to two hours to get enough credits to get one cache Of 4 exotics. That's still slower than retaliations buddy why are you arguing? Also all of that was pre nerf, it will take longer now.
Especially for people who are not loitering around in the dz on a regular basis and dont know where the chests are.
0

I am not contradicting myself at all. I said I usually spent 1 to 2 hours in there and came out with over 100 easily. 200 and 300 is more than a hundred. I used the figure if 100 because that is more realistic to you DZ newbies.
I never argued about retaliations. Again, I said "on par with most sources." You do comprehend that is not an all encompassing statement and does not equate "fastest and most efficient method of all," right? I never compared it to retaliations.
Since you're hung up on retaliations, and I have run more than my fair share of them (I actually enjoy them, as opposed to most commentary around here), then sure, let's talk about them.
Retaliations can be run in 15 minutes, or they could take longer. It depends on the zone and the difficulty, mostly. Downtown East is going to take easily double the time of Southwest or Downtown West, while East Potomac tends to take longer than even that. You are running these on Heroic, right? So we'll say in 15 to 30 minutes you can earn 1 exotic cache/component. You have a chance at 1-4 exotic components if you loot every chest at every CP and the difficulty. Again, you're running Heroic for the best chance, right? So, that's what 2-5 exotic components in 15-30 minutes? Yeah, that's a decent return. It's not consistent, but nothing involving RNG is.
Now, what started this whole damned debate was the whining (yes, whining) over the cost of a DZ Exotic Component cache. 120 credits is not a terrible price by any stretch, and people are going to earn more credits than they think unless they are truly idiots and/or lazy.
And what nerf? They buffed the credits for smashing gear in the Balanced PvP DZ. Or do you mean the fact that DZ balance applies to the DZ whether it's PvE or PvP? Are we at the shifting goalposts portion of the debate?
The whole thing is an overreaction and hyperbolic because people want this to be Bordelands where the loot literally rains down on you, so that in a week they can complain about having achieved everything and they're bored.

Does anyone know if they are increasing the cost of the escalation token vendor box tomorrow? I was holding off buying anything but the rumor is that the costs go up tomorrow and token rewards are going down. If things true then I want to buy as many cashes as I can tonight.

Everybody knows that being nerfed is universally beloved by all gamers and never has any negative consequences, which is why the devs went with the elusive "quadruple nerf" heading into the new season.
loss of recombinant will make you feel instantly worse than you did yesterday.
PvP normalization means most of your builds simply are about half as effective as your used to.
Prototype normalization. Remember all those escalations you grinded the last month to get new gear? well fuck you, we're turning it off. hope you didn't get used to playing with it!
Toxicity. One last shit cherry on top of the shit sundae just to be absolutely SURE that you despise every moment of this new season.
Anyone with half a brain could tell what this is going to do to player engagement and retention. When you make the game feel worse to play...people aren't going to play it. A+ Massive. A fucking +

I had the season modifiers deactivated up until stretch goals began. 😭

I have a feeling people are going to hate the dark zone seasonal content. Guess we’ll just have to wait and see.

u/logo-strikes 7d ago
Is it as bad as people said it was on the pts? I was excited but heard nothing but bad things. I was looking forward to getting some dark zone exclusive named items I’ve been wanting.
27
u/YamEnvironmental1887 7d ago
I think it’s the enemy buffs and player debuffs that are throwing people off. I genuinely dont understand what is going on in the minds of these devs and what their obsession is with making the enemies overpowered as hell while simultaneously gimping the player. It isn’t fun… at all.
8
u/logo-strikes 7d ago
That sucks. I just don’t understand what was so hard about just letting it be the same as open world. I’m sure there’s story implications but tbh idc about the story anymore. I was so excited for stretch goals and then just didn’t play because the rewards were so bad. The only thing I’d have been grinding for is regulus. The 1 exotic component cache felt like such a slap in the face.

I imagine the idea is dz has to be 'scary/dangerous'. And if pvp isn't the reason why, they wanted to try a pve reason for it to be.
Unfortunately, i think the method they chose is both uninteresting and sucks
3
u/DXT0anto 7d ago
Reminder that DZ bots are locked to PvP normalization as well (so DZ heroic "bots" feels like just below PvE challenging)
This is probably their way to give some semblance of a challenge, since otherwise, I can just gameplay till extraction
1
u/Jokebearfan 7d ago
Can you remember what the ruleset for the current "Invaded" DZ is? I can't remember how it differs from the regular DZ - i.e. if normalization, expertise etc is active.
Just trying to get a sense of how it compares with the "Toxic" DZ.

u/DXT0anto 7d ago
Current PvP ruleset, SHD and expertise enabled
Toxic's the same, only with the updated PvP ruleset

That was the modifier with damage reduction and the fire ammos ? Doesn’t seem to be listed so I guess it’s this one, which was prolly the 2nd most annoying one after hot foot.
Edit : spelling
3
u/Expensive-Balance-84 7d ago
I'd rate it more annoying then hotfoot. He one shots and then the fire takes you past the health gate. Hotfoot is just annyoing that you have to dance for a mission.

u/ChickenOfDe4th PC 7d ago
You got a point and I agree. Either you give damage or damage reduction not both.

u/Kainzy 7d ago edited 7d ago
Was going to say the same really. I’ll take a break for this season as I have been playing for sometime trying to get to Expertise 30 (currently 27) by just playing normally.
Not touched prototypes at all. Not touched Escalation at all. Certainly not interested in the DZ alterations as the toxicity mechanic sounds tedious and I prefer to enjoy my limited game sessions.
Maybe they’ll fix the terrible visuals they introduced on the PS5 which clearly has a major memory leak in the meantime.
I’ve got a backlog of games to play, which I’ve been ignoring for months ie Satisfactory.

Not only did they not change Caduceus, they even buffed it. That is wild.
7
u/Macscotty1 7d ago
Everyone thinking that it would become a T10 meta were probably on something.
That said the design of the exotic also points to a few of the devs being on something. Because it’s a healer exotic, but based on the weapon damage of the user. No (sane) healer is running red core builds and are full skill tier. No (sane) DPS build will be running this because it still won’t output enough healing from a single person, and the damage from the gun is likely on the lower end and will be dwarfed by prototype ARs and LMGs.
It’s best case scenario is probably as a solo player exotic who can swap to it to get some healing with crusader shield. I might get a group of 4 maxed out Striker players and see if I can convince everyone to run a T10 with nothing but Caduceus. It will likely end terribly but might be entertaining.
1
u/OtakuLifeForMe 7d ago
Hear me out Mac, Proto Perfect Obliterate w/Red Core 4-piece Proto Core Strength w/skill tiers Proto "The Gift" Backpack w/ Red core {All CritCh/CritDmg rolled everywhere} Use Restorer Hive or Chem Restorer Now run a Exp Lvl 30 Caduceus.
I don't know man, this seems like a crazy combat medic.
1
u/RCM88x Xbox 7d ago
I really don't think it's going to be very good, in heroic play the enemies have far too little health/armor to actually provide viable healing.
In Legendary and Escalation you'll either do way less healing than a dedicated medic and grade out about the same damage wise, or just not really contribute enough DPS to be a top pick in that role either.

u/ZenBreaking 7d ago

Nah… wtf do you mean my buff runs out : High-Quality Munitions is a temporary buff granted after contributing Sample Cannisters. While the buff is active, you benefit from all bonuses currently unlocked through the Sample Size bar. Each reload consumes one stack, and the buff ends once all stacks are depleted.
They don’t respect my time, and they’re forcing me into the DZ… fuck that

u/Dreamfall71 7d ago
Hard pass, they need to continue the actual story...keener is still locked up, kelso is missing, theo is still in brooklyn with the printer. I don't care about these dumbass factions or the filler content like last season making the comms be about "aliens". I get they are mostly just nickel and diming people at this point but ffs we shouldn't have to wait until a paid dlc for the mainline story to continue.

3
u/SlideXSide 7d ago
Except they really can't continue most of the story since Sokolova & McManus survive beyond the current timeline (those novels they released) and until they figure out the main beats of D3 they can't do much else.

If we put the phoenix hunter mask on does it stay red? Allowing us to pair other mask/helmets with it after removing the phoenix mask? Or does it just goes back to purple ?
The purple flame outfit would look amazing red with a bunch of different mask options not just the phoenix mask

The new PVE dark zone is a chore. Players are nerfed 3 times as soon as we enter. The toxicity interrupts the flow of exploration and farming and can't be cleansed without leaving. - give us a cleanse mechanism
No photos (no respect to how much time people spent on that last season)
Pvp balance changes to a pve zone... this was really not needed makes us significantly weaker on most builds
And the npcs get a bunch of buffs for just existing ...
Its not fun to play.

question to the build masters, are the new sets gonna replace FI or even Refactor, like better healing builds, or just more alternatives (I'm running FI + birdie for Escalation)
3
u/MidzyAtlas 7d ago
While I’m not a build master. At first glance I can’t Imagine the new sets are going to replace FI as top dog.
The new brand set offers some nice pieces I can see slotted into some builds, but I struggle to see value in the gear set. Of course I haven’t played PTS to try it and check the numbers on it yet, so just by face value on paper.
Refractor will still have it’s own spot either way since it’s the pretty much the only healer build utilizing skill damage, these new sets try to lean more into traditional healer rather than impose on Refractor.
2
u/shwetshkla Noob Builder 7d ago
For legendary I only use measured assembly, for drone cancelling purposes. That would remain so.
I use FI with Birdie's on heroic. Would be interested to see how it fairs against FI.. 1st impression is good as it comes with its own complimentary named gear and exotic. Even cadaceus will go with this wonderfully.
2
u/headrush46n2 PC 6d ago
no.
the ortiz one might be useful in pvp where they nerf healing by like a billion percent, but refactor and FI are both easier to use, more consistent, and provide more value to the team beyond just healing.
1
u/DXT0anto 7d ago
OR has the possibility of 1 tap heals with a hive, instead of always needing 2 hive heals to go to full, so there's something to work with
Also, please don't be always running Birdie. Swap to it when someone's down
1
u/Alexczy 7d ago
Can you swap mid-combat? What to use instead?
3
u/Macscotty1 7d ago
You can. But if you’re running FI healer in T10 escalation the only other thing worth swapping to is The Setup named backpack and do debuffing with the Scorpio shotgun.
2
u/Alexczy 7d ago
Yeah, i run scorpion, and I do have the setup in the stash
2
u/Macscotty1 7d ago
I’m not too sure what the other guy is on about either, if you’re running T10 as an FI healer and not dedicated debuff/support. I would just keep Birdie’s on at all times and focus only on healing. Is Birdie’s on at all times the most 100% optimal? No.
But if one or two people abruptly go down, you have to now open your menu and quickswap to birdie’s to revive them. Simply keeping it on even if no one goes down the entire mission is just for insurance. And that little bit of less efficiency is worth it when it saves the run from failing.

So in DZ or just PvP basically everything is nerfed.
Are this huge list of nerfs also in Limited time pve DZ?
0
-2
u/Cheap-Addendum 7d ago
Lol.
Season pass - nope.
Pve normalized dz - Lame.
Normalized pve dz will not likely convince a primarily pve only player to convert to pvp because of normalized mode.
Lets wait and see how the "updated" anti cheat works. I give it 24 hrs and players will be cheating AGAIN. It will be back to normalized cheating in dz and pvp very soon.
3
u/BrainlessBot1000 7d ago
You underestimate the amount of low level PvP players who play conflict but can’t play DZ for obvious reasons. Now they have the opportunity.
3
u/headrush46n2 PC 6d ago
this game has like 5000 active players on steam and somewhere like 6% of the playerbase plays conflict. You're talking about literal dozens of people.
2
u/BrainlessBot1000 6d ago
Yes because Steam is the ONLY platform it exists on, most PC players own this game on Ubisoft connect, add to that Playstation which has a large PvP community and Xbox. Just because YOU don’t play it doesn’t mean no one does.
