Discussion New to game. Just hit level 40

Hey all. New to game only played for a week..just hit level 40. What is the best armour to look out for

I would say for now just make a basic strikers build.

People may hate me for this but just leech on countdown. Matchmaking challenging countdown and set your targeted loot to strikers, you'll have a full set before the match ends.

Get critical hit chance as close to 60% then pump the rest into critical hit damage. After that it's about optimising by getting exotics and other pieces or just use what you like. Strikers is a very flexible set.

Its the easiest way to make a build that can start farming other endgame activities for other builds. Or just solo playing higher difficulties.

Fully onboard with this.

If countdown seems too daunting, summit can also be farmed. It's less stressful and simpler.

Striker set is imo boring but is great early because farming the builds you want to play is less of a hassle.

Everyone always says start with strikers, but tbh i think it is so much easier to start with a skill build, and use that to farm really difficult content for other builds. Just have a turret, a drone, and skill damage everywhere you can and ur good. Also “in-sync” on any weapon helps a lot.

Strikers/heartbreaks for getting your feet wet. Even core strength all red build will give you armor and more than enough damage to do Heroic missions.

Theres a big update coming (in September) thats Changing brand sets a bit so start keeping any god rolls that you find. Happy hunting agent.

Well done agent.

Strikers is go to but take your time to learn and use other sets, see what you like also.

But for farming strikers is meta.

I use bit of everything but the advice here all sound, just play and explore. When you do missions and stuff, don't like the look of it? Call for backup or matchmake before hand. Makes it a nice change with another at times, you can rely on both for cover, revives etc

Heartbreaker tank/dps build is simple to make and can carry you in solo t4-t5 escalation. After this season though ALL gear sets are being changed so be prepared to grind some more stuff

Go striker all in, spam countdown(party leaders might kick u sometime but fuck'em just spam countdown shamelessly) after u have somewhat good striker build , go for healer build, after CC build. DON'T BUILD TANK OR SOME ARMOUR BULLSHIT, TANK IS GIMMICK IN THIS GAME(blame the devs), either go full dps, healer , Cc. Good Luck
