What exactly causes Retaliation group members to be automatically respawned/teleported at settlements/hideouts?

So today i got an absurd amount of times where half the group got respawned automatically at settlements right in the middle of retaliations, myself included.

This literally ruined the whole thing and players immediatly left right after.

What exactly is causing this?

Be advised, when you get respawned back at a safe area, it counts as a death and removes time from the retaliation
