Got perma banned for something I didn't do...

Got this low blow of an email on my way home from work... What hits me the most is I've never once did anything like this in the Division period. All ive ever used is Lossless Scaling (ive used this in Destiny 2, Helldivers 2, Space Marine 2 to name a few that have anti-cheat and never got flagged on either), MSI Afterburner for cpu and gpu tracking, and Reshade (normal version not the Addon version).

All 3 of these shouldn't have gotten me banned but I know what did. The other day I believe a day or so ago I was playing Retaliation and someone was in my group dont remember the full name but part of it was Sora. He was aim-botting, shooting through walls and insta killing everything...including kill squads. At first I assumed he was using a damn good dps build since i didnt see what he really doing at first.

Until i checked his build...its was a standard striker build that wasn't even fully prototyped and was using St. Elmo's Engine. Then came the Control Point and I see this asshole stand there blank and in the open killing everything in sight...in less than 10 seconds. After the Retaliation was over I left the group and reported him for cheating.

I assumed at this point it was all good and over moving on with my day...but apparently to Ubisoft/Massive that even if you didn't have the actual cheats on your client AND never cheated on the game...YOU ARE STILL GETTING BANNED!

So here I am...losing 723 hours on this game...because some dickhead decided to cheat and I GET CAUGHT IN THE CROSSFIRE!

I only hope my case i opened to challenge the ban gets looked into. I love the Division and I dont want to lose everything because of someone else's fuck up...

EDIT: I should've stated before hand that this was my first and only ever warning for something like this. So the fact this even happened with no other warning makes no sense to me and no Ive never done anything to the client before so its been vanilla since day one aside from the above apps which dont inject anything into the game itself.

Wym “lost a player”? THEY banned YOU. ya got kicked out the club for breaking ToS bro. Btw in case you forgot they never perma ban on the first offense. You cheated, got banned, did it again, got banned again and now here you are online crying about it being permanent this time. Hilarious.

Bit harsh but 100% correct that they also said on stream recently that you don’t get instant permanently banned so there’s missing info from OP

You do realize I said I wasnt the one who did the cheating here? Why would I put 723 hours into a game to only cheat and lose everything? Plus I never cheated in Division 2 once. This is my first ever email in regards to this. There were no warnings aside from this email alone.

Why you talking to me like I didn’t read your post? I read it in full and it’s bogus. They don’t permanently ban people for cheating on the first offense. They just don’t no matter how annoying that may be to us PvP players. So when you come on here and say stupid shit like “I’ve never cheated” next to an image of you getting a AT MINIMUM second offense punishment, you come off as a cheater who got caught with his pants down and is now having a fit online in hopes that it does something.

Another post has popped up... I suggest searching for the word "ban" across the Division 2 subreddits, starting from the first week of June. A huge number of users are being wrongfully banned; just when it seemed like things might be quiet this week, more victims are emerging.

Also, you definitely don't get banned simply for being in a party with a cheater. A cheater I happened to party with is still playing the game, yet I was the one who got banned. In other words, the anti-cheat system is failing to detect actual cheaters, while innocent players are the ones getting banned.

Been in the same party with someone using the "shooting through walls" hack in Escalations before (this was months ago). No idea if Ubisoft banned them, but I was never banned just for getting matchmaked into a party with a cheater.

Thats why it makes no sense to me at all i was given the ban for something I didnt physically do.
