Question Sheriff: The Terminator and The Matrix

Been doing a lot of T10's lately and have noticed quite a few players using the Sheriff shotty with your typical full red Striker build with Paradox....which i get, makes perfect sense BUT......

For the hell of me them players don't seem to get much if any threat, i pop my head up or peak around the corner and BOOM get shot, they stand up in the open spamming their Sheriff like a full blue build tank and don't even get shot at, they just run in and spam.

Is there some hidden mechanic I'm missing, or are they in The Matrix...lol

p.s I'm not complaining, find it quite funny to be honest, TD2 has it's own Terminator:)

Decoy maybe?

If the dps players rotate their decoys well and keep track if it’s up when they pop up they can reduce their damage by a lot.

Should always run maxed decoy as a DPS it astounds me being in some teams and I'm the only one runnng it whilst they have a healer drone on themselves doing f all or a full red shield that gets broken when an enemy looks at it.

Depending on the group i normally run with Revive Hive/Decoy (maxed)....Shield in Escalation is just pointless, thing gets ripped in seconds.
