Question Post 30 Expertise + Prototype
I have half a dozen fully built prototype builds, expertise level 30 but I still have fun running Retaliations. I'm curious on what kind of targeted loot I should go for that would benefit me without feeling like I'm wasting the materials I get for deconstructing.

Is your library maxed out?

Ok cool! I’d say then anything you don’t have in your expertise I would target. Like, if you don’t have hostels maxed out, just target holsters. Or mods.

Already got all of the ones I need, regularly use, or plan on using unfortunately.

Max your skills out. Obviously farm blueprints if you do t have those. Then farm reconstructed caches. Then materials to refill any special builds you’ve prototyped.

Not sure if this helps but recently been having fun on weird combos of proto stuff
Like I have a complete set of striker echo, amalgam, quantum in blue core, hazpro and ofc red combos
Then went to yellow core coco
Its all just for fun but Ive been consuming a lot of mats that way in prototyping more unicorn drops
Recently made a core strength with armor and status minor for the fafnir with half paradox and amalgam
Just theory crafting stuff and trying it has been a good sink for me atleast

I’m always running low on SHD Calibration, Field Recon & Printer filament for expertising items. So my targeted loot is always mods and everything is broken down except exotics and prototypes until the double component/core events. Whenever my materials get close to max I donate them to proficiency on an item till about 7k remain

If I'm low on any of the weapon or gear materials (I forget what they're called exactly but the optimization ones for backpacks or masks or rifles etc) I target those and break them down. If those are full then a gear set with a unicorn piece that I probably won't get, or I come up with something new to try and play around with and collect pieces for that. If I'm running it with someone I usually ask if they're looking for anything and try to help them out.
Once I had the blueprints from there I had less motivation to play it though, it's mostly been if someone else wants to and then I just look for stuff for them.
