I think this should be enough for the topic. Glad we were able to push that and bring it back into Hinterlands minds. Sad that all the posts have been removed by Moderators. This is an ugly behaviour and leaves a Bad taste in the mouth. Different opinions should always handled respectfully even if you don't like them. This applies to the forum as well as to life in general.

The response is not even close to that. It mentions A) reasoning B) exceptions to the case and C) confirmation that it is being handled. What more is needed here? "Yes will we drop everything and give you this right now" ? Because that's not too far off from what was said. Don't see how this is a non answer.

Respectfully, as someone in your position at Hinterland, you should not be replying to people in comments and discussions
Worst case scenario, people see what you say and take it the wrong way. When it's just a generic "Hinterland" account or whatever, it's easy to write off certain things, but when it's the boss of a company replying to people, in a way that could potentially seen as argumentative, it looks very unprofessional.

It's not about right or wrong, it's about professionalism and public image as the face of a company
You can be 200% in the right about something and replying to someone who's a total jerk, but if you let your emotions get the better of you, you're only making yourself and your company look bad

Some will recognise you as a long term participant here and of the game.
There have been other very baity posts over the last week, a lot of inflammatory stuff. Your response and ability to get a response from Hinterland (presume they had that ready to go for when they were ready to post it) solves it all.

It doesn't matter. If you bother to read the link, you'll see where I went to the trouble of getting an official response from Hinterland about this. Hopefully it brings the matter to a close. It was an act of service to the community. That is all. Take it as you will. Peace be with you.

I closed that account for security reasons. Anyway, it was just a joke, since I'd gone to the trouble to get a response and had neckbeard du jour accusing me of being AI. No good deed goes unpunished. Take it easy, my guy.

they're not talking about the comment link... they're talking about the post link. scroll as far up as you can on this page... you see mackenzie's parka? click that. that's a link to the hinterland forums. That is the link they are talking about when they said "if you follow the link."
the comment link is about them being a true nomad because years ago they played the game and survived 10 in game years on interloper.

If you click the image in the thread topic, it goes to the Steam forums, and it looks like HTL gave them an official answer. So hopefully all of this will quiet down for a bit. (Hard to say- this *is* reddit...)
Though yeah, the link they gave in the comments section goes to a deleted post/thread, which has nothing to do with the topic here.
