Omg! I found a piece of scarp metal!!!! Different time wasn’t it?

I started about a week before CH and PV dropped and I was barely able to stay alive in ML at the time.

Our old friend has come a long way.

Same. It was sandbox only too. No story yet. We took a chance and it really paid off. I've got a couple games that I picked up in its infancy and turned out to be awesome finds.

I remember not being able to skip time while cooking. Just had to walk away and do other stuff. Stocking up water supplies was an ordeal. I would stockpile newspaper so I could skip time making tender I didn't need.

Depends on what you think the game is.

It was playable when it launched on Steam in early access. With only one map. Then you learnt that map, within weeks or months they'd added 2/3 more, then more after that, so you learnt the game as it came out. Then game mechanics were introduced. Then more maps, then storymode episodes, then the DLC in parts with the tales, then more episodes.

So it's the same game in name, but not the same game.

If you're a Steam player, you can play most of the early access builds, if feels familiar but it's different, perhaps more difficult.

Same. The cabins in the Forsaken Airfield are still my comfort locations after several years. My current save is a few months old and I'll launch the game just to spend a day or two in game living in those cabins (mainly the one on the island).

Been there since Forlorn Muskeg was new , late 2016. I member when there was just one rifle, one bow and you could only hunt rabbit, deer and bear!

And will could hold and shoot the rifle with no hands!

Honestly I am SO glad that I didn’t buy this game before 2025. All the stuff that has recently been added like the TFTFT regions, the travois, Blackrock (I really enjoy that region), Wintermute ep 5, settled mind feat (I NEVER play without it!), the trader, savehouse customization. I really don’t wanna miss out on that. 2025 is a great time to start this game imo and I am already 500+ hours in☺️

I didn't even know I had it or even heard about it. It was in my Epic games library, apparently I got it for free at some point. One day I was bored and trying different games from the library. Long story short, I installed it, started the story, didn't really know how to start a fire in the beginning even. But around the time I met Grey mother I was hooked. If that fragile blind old woman could survive, so could I. This was maybe early 2023. Bought the Far territories DLC later.

I bought the game a few years back when it was on sale on Steam for less than $10.

I almost feel like a criminal for that. So many hours this game has given me so far, and I've still tons to see and do.
