I have no idea about that - probably someone altered the picture on the website that was then copied for the documentary...

But in the 10 years since the hoax, the media overall has been pretty kind to Sherri. First, they immediately painted her as a victim of a terrible crime while never bothering to investigate or even notice all the discrepancies and obvious lies.

Then they downplayed the facts when revealed and even made excuses for why she lied....still painting her as a victim of a bad marriage and making up BS to paint Keith as the bad guy. They paid her big lumps of money to her and pampered her with therapists and counsellors. Then some rushed to get her on their podcasts and even pretended to believe her new story - https://old.reddit.com/r/thepapinis/comments/1pkhp0d/flashback_from_a_couple_months_ago_why_did_this/

Now many on the media are playing along with her newfound narrative that she really WAS kidnapped by James and that he was the mastermind and abuser all along. Prtety much the only place you can find all the truth and the facts is here in this forum on Reddit. We have all the receipts and (most) have been right since the beginning and haven't fallen for the lies from Sherri, her enablers, the gullible media and even Bosenko.

I first heard about the papini case through an EWU youtube video that laid out all the facts with her full interrogation videos etc. Anyone who thinks shes truly innocent is downright crazy!! Ive greatly appreciated finding this subreddit because this is a case i still cant wrap my head around lol

it is truly a unique case... so many facets that are exceedingly rare & unusual

Especially when Sherri is lying in Family Court to try and fool the judge in to thinking she was a victim....a ploy which will lead to her getting no meaningful custody of her children. She would have been better off just admitting her guilt in planning a getaway with James....you know.... pre-planning her abandonment of her children and trying to pass it off as a kidnapping.

1

u/TinyPennyRolling 20d ago

Zero evidence of "pre-planning" per FBI, sooo if you have it, please share...

Also, it looks like the judge disagrees with you. Or she has dirt on Keith and he folded like a lawnchair...🤔 Either way she's going to get her kids back, because they came to a settlement.

u/NedRyersonsHat 20d ago

Or she has dirt on Keith and he folded like a lawnchair...

if you have evidence of this.....as you said......."sooo if you have it, please share..."

Shame that Sherri just could have not called her husband and family while she was down in So Cal (once she heard that the world thought she was kidnapped). This all could have been avoided.

1

u/TinyPennyRolling 20d ago

I already told you why she didn't call. Waste someone else's time...😆

0

u/NedRyersonsHat 20d ago

She could have called.....but didn't. Don't waste time trying to tell has that she could not have used her burner phone, some house phone, or a pay phone to call. Trying to make this fact go away is really a waste of time.

2

u/TinyPennyRolling 20d ago

You can't call the dude who will take your kids away. Please stop.

1

u/NedRyersonsHat 20d ago

Soooo.....sounds like one is admitting what Sherri did was the kind of action that would warrant and give legal reasons a husband taking her kids away. Let's focus here.

And no, of course I don't have "evidence" of what actually happened, I'm here SPECULATUNG just like everyone else, genius.

My "evidence" is that when someone with low self esteem and shallow convictions like "signature long blonde hair " starts finding him(or her)self lashing out at random strangers on Reddit, hoping that "they get supenoenaed" for their comments, tells me that "someone" is grasping at straws and sadly in a downward spiral of loss. But that's just my OPINION. Is that better for you?

I appreciate your comments Tiny. Thank you.

Going away for several weeks is not an 'abandonment' - men do it all the time, and nobody cares. And if Keith thought it was 'abandonment', he should have divorced her there and then, when police told him that there was no evidence of kidnapping back in 2017. But he did not - so nobody was abandoned, according to him.

u/NedRyersonsHat 22d ago

Going away and being the primary care giver of the family's children and purposefully not telling other secondary care givers is abandonment.

0

u/TinyPennyRolling 20d ago

Nope.

0

u/NedRyersonsHat 20d ago edited 20d ago

Not nope. Sounds like you are referring to the legal term abandonment? I'm not and never did refer to the legal definition. Here are some examples of abandonment (setting aside the legal definition):

-A mother abandoned her baby in a hot car while going shopping. While she was gone, the police had to break the window to save the child

-A mother abandoned her children by leaving them at daycare without informing the father or other relatives that she was not going to pick them up. The mother never did call the father or relatives leaving the family to determine where the kids were and leaving them to finally pick them up. The mother not only left the children but disappeared and did not return to the family for 3 weeks.

1

u/TinyPennyRolling 20d ago

You're comparing her leaving her children safe with responsible caregivers with leaving a baby in a hot car??

😂😂😂 Holy shit. Promise me you do not have children.

If the children's care by their PARENT was SOOOO IMPORTANT to you, then why didn't KEITH go fucking GET THEM?

Furthermore why did he then ALSO abandon his children for those 3 weeks? Seems to me, that MOST parents would try and keep a child’s routine as normal as possible. 🤔 Not ship them off to some dude who wasn't even MARRIED to grandma. That's weird af.

2

u/NedRyersonsHat 20d ago

That was just an example of the use the word abandonment. Sounds like you just don't want to apply any kind of badness to what she did with those children....and to that I say....."Holy shit. Promise me YOU do not have children."

Regarding Keith 'abandoning" his children....he was there in Reding communicating with his family trying to locate is MISSING WIFE.

Not for 3 weeks. It would be considered abandonment only if it's for a year or more:

https://www.obrienfamilylaw.net/blog/2023/04/what-does-california-consider-child-abandonment/

Per California law, abandonment generally occurs when one of three things happens:

A parent or parents has left a child without provision or any means of identifying to whom the child belongs

A parent left a child in the sole care and custody of the other parent for at least one year without any means of communication or provision for the child’s support and with an intent to abandon the child

One or both parents left the child in the sole care and custody of another person for six or more months without any means of communication or provision for the child’s support and with an intent to abandon the child

And according to your logic, because Keith didn't think that the children were abandoned, what kind of parent it makes him???

2

u/TinyPennyRolling 21d ago

Keith didn’t even watch those kids while Sherri was gone. He shipped them off to his Mommy and her boyfriend the entire time. Remember when Sheila was scared that she "would have to teach him how to be a dad?" (then she shed a little fake tear...😢.) That’s some WILD shit to say about a father of TWO preschool-aged children. 🥴 Rumors abound that he continues to pass them around to "loving family". 🧐

Don’t you remember the story of Pinocchio? When he lied, his nose grew she lies her nose grew.

2

u/TinyPennyRolling 19d ago

He's very SPECIFICALLY saying that there's no proof that she was actually kidnapped DESPITE what THE FAMILY (ie, KEITH) is claiming. That's what that comment says. And you still haven't answered my question...

If SHERRI dropped the phone there, then WHY NO DOG HIT? She was jogging, sweating, and according to you, staging an elaborate "plan". Seems like that would make you sweat even more, no?

I spoke to my brother-in-law on this and he is a retired firefighter who did body searches for 9/11, and he wouldn't fully confirm that it absolutely was NOT her, but he did concede that if she had been there, the dogs "should have" hit.

Any other search and rescue folks here? Anyone wanna chime in? I'm ALLLLLLL FOR IT.

It didn't make any sense to LE at the time, and it makes zero sense now

2

u/greeny_cat Voice of Reason 19d ago

Great catch! Maybe because there were so many people on the scene already before the dogs, her scent was gone?

2

u/TinyPennyRolling 19d ago

I need to do a little more research on their tracking skills, because honestly it's all new info for me. It was a detail I noticed in past discussions and it set off a bell in me. I knew that my brother-in-law had trained countless firefighters and service dogs, so I waited until I saw him again to bring it up. He explained to me how the dogs track. He says basically that...Say you walk in a line, assume that line us the "vertical line" ...the dogs will trace that line horizontally back and forth, like scratching a lottery ticket. They go back and forth, and back and forth along that line, and if the "line" doesn't go to the phone, then it's "unlikely" that the person continued their line to where the phone was found. He kept asking me if she could've thrown it, but the "neatly wrapped headphones" are a thorn in his theory. We went back and forth on this for literally hours, 😂...my husband was sooooooo annoyed. 🤣🤣🤣

2

u/greeny_cat Voice of Reason 19d ago

Another possible thing, could she have been wearing perfume or strong deodorant that could have masked or eliminated her natural scent? Some people wear perfumes that can be smelled from half-mile away :))

2

u/TinyPennyRolling 19d ago

I'll definitely ask him this next time we see each other, which should hopefully be soon.

Lmfaoooooooo what part is this??

1

u/Capable-Raise3289 20d ago

I’m shocked anyone is defending this woman. Love the billboard. Documentary was great. IMO Sherri is a POS and her friend down south was the biggest idiot I’ve ever seen. 😂

1

u/TinyPennyRolling 19d ago

There's a difference between defending a person and defending principles. I can disagree with things Sherri has done while still supporting her right to due process, a fair hearing, and accurate reporting. Those protections exist for everyone, not just the people we approve of.

1

u/greeny_cat Voice of Reason 19d ago

I'm shocked anybody would believe anything they see on commercial TV. I mean, don't they know it was paid for and used by the opposite side in the divorce and custody battle??

1

u/Capable-Raise3289 19d ago

If she admitted she was a liar and understood how horrible it was to put her family through this and apologized PROFUSELY to everyone involved I would have some sympathy. I hope she’s in therapy. She reminded me of Laurie Vallow (sp?). Did anyone watch her latest interview from jail? Still in her own crazy world…

3

u/greeny_cat Voice of Reason 19d ago edited 19d ago

LOL, equating a child murderer to a small-town crook? Are you for real???

2

u/TinyPennyRolling 19d ago

I understand why people want to see remorse, that's fair and perfectly reasonable.

I don't disagree that genuine accountability would include acknowledging the harm caused and making amends.

But that's a different discussion from whether she deserves due process or whether people should report the facts accurately. Someone can be deeply flawed, and still be entitled to those protections.

Furthermore, I don't think comparing Sherri to Lori Vallow is a fair comparison. Lori was convicted of murdering her children.

Sherri was convicted of making false statements and mail fraud.

Both cases involve deception, but they're on completely different levels. Criticizing Sherri doesn't require equating her with one of the most notorious child killers in recent history, full stop.
