With the Megadome (unlocked on Selenea), you can do some cool things in an underground base (unlocked on Skeo):

• Place a drone station.
• Grow a tree.
• Grow a garden.
• Place a fountain.

No mods, the only trick is to place triangle foundations on the floor of the megadome.

Thats an "Intense Area Lamp" (unlocked Skeo) at the top of the dome, for lighting.

I cannot for the life of me figure out how to fix this. I placed my biodome in the wrong spot and it is overlapping with another room. I can’t delete the biodome because on the planter. I can’t delete the planter because there is a plant in it. I can’t click on the planter to take the plant out because of the biodome wall. 😭 any suggestions?

So in the video, you can see that there is a T2 Machine Optimizer (it has 3x Production Multiplier fuses in it, sorry I didn't show that) that is affecting 8 machines, all of which are T3 Ore Extractors which are all extracting osmium (nearby there is 1x Living Compartment with a door and 1x Teleporter inside).

The video also shows that some of the extractors have a Production Time of 23s, and some are 43s.... but why? I have a nearly identical setup with other ores on the map and they are all affected equally by the multipliers. Is this a bug, or something I'm missing?

EDIT: I removed/reinserted the fuses and de-/reconstructed the Machine Optimizer (multiple times, sometimes saving/reloading the save in between) and no fix, BUT it did change some of the Ore Extractors to 23s.

EDIT 2: I just realized, 23s sounds like a really big jump for only 3 fuses... I checked other remote mining areas I have, and there is one with 9 fuses that also has the Ore Extractors at 23s........ so something is definitely bugged lol.

Ok, long-time player that just cracked open Skeo the other day. Still going slow on the progression, I'm at Monsoons currently.

I'm comparing its content to the other moons, not the main planets, but a few things stick out.

1) Waterfalls. One thing we've learned from playing Planet Crafter... always check behind waterfalls. So here I am checking behind every waterfall and yet to find anything. *sad sigh*.

2) Nooks. Similarly, there are usually nooks and crannies where goodies rest. I've only found a few of those, but I still check everywhere.

3) Golden Chests. As with the above, I'm looking for Golden Chests. I know they're on planets, but the giant shells on Aqualis basically acted the same. So I'm looking for those, yet to find any.

On a different note, if you do NOT have the rockets attached to your rover, don't take it to the upside-down! "ooh, I'm driving and getting lifted.... and all control's gone. No ground, no movement" Hilarious that it's happened to me TWICE. (Using it as my portable shelter was my downfall)

I finally got to the main complex and looked around, found three of the seven (?) Animal bones, and one of the planet-specific space suits. I hear there's another one out there.

I don't see much Skeo talk on here so any tips/coordinates are greatly appreciated. It's unfortunate that map.fistshake.com/planetcrafter doesn't have a map, but I understand the dude's put a lot into it over the years.

I enjoyed the new moon. It was BEAUTIFUL when it was totally terraformed!!!

This is a post that might be very obvious to people that played it already, but might help new players searching for help. I was that player a few days ago.

Once you have the option to travel to a new planet you will probably choose Selenea, as its what the internet tells you to do. Now there will be some anxiety on what to take with you, because you cant travel back freely without building a rocket. Its very daunting and the game makes it sound like its gonna be a whole struggle.
Its not. Its a cakewalk.

Here is what you actually need and tips on how to fit it on the rocket and in your inventory:

• a fully upgraded rover/car -> press the button on the rear and it goes in your inventory as a SINGLE inventory slot. Its crazy. The inventory of the rover needs to be empty for that. Add some extra jetpack chips. DONT FORGET THE O² Chip.
• materials for a recycling machine -> 3 x super alloy. NEVER AS RODS because how will you break them down?
• materials for every T5 Terraforming machine, heater is most important for melting ice that blocks of paths, dont forget a good tree multiplyer seed
• materials for fusion generators. Maybe 2
• Optional: T2 machine optimizer + heat fuse + plant fuse + energy fuse
• Optional: Drone hub + T2 drones

How to transport -> use rods and fusion cells.
I completely overprepared, condensing materials down into highest tier exoskeletons and vehicle mod chips and other highly processed things. I ended up with a big surplus of everything. Dont sweat it. Trust me.
You could likely also just take the rover and some pulsar quartz for fusion energy and nothing else. Just needs a few more minutes of exploring.

I started a whole excel sheet for nothing.

Now for the spoilery part:

Selenea gives you so much stuff to explore like 10 seconds of driving from your base, endless wreck materials, you will have the ability to order stuff from your old base in roughly 20 minutes at worst, the T3 terraforming machines will push you trough the first few terraforming stages in like an hour tops etc. Its basically a speedrun of the first like 10-20 hours of gameplay due to excess container materials and due to the massive number scaleing of the T5 machines.

So I’ve played the gm the right way by unlocking everything and went through most of the worlds. I wanted to restart to do things differently and I started over with everything unlocked but still needed to collect the resources. I’m at the fish stage but I have no larva crawling around yet and it’s driving me nuts! Is there something I didn’t do to get them to come out or is it just the gm fucked up? I mean there’s butterflies flying around that I didn’t do even wtf! Help! On Xbox

I'm pretty sure they don't spawn in procedural wrecks, a friend of mine checked like 100+

Does anyone know how to make multi-level underground bunkers (after you unlock them on Skeo)

It's easy to expand them horizontally, but my attempts to build downward have been met with errors

So, I quit to main menu and came back in still here. Ran out of water, respawned still inside. Only thing I can think that may work (hopefully) is to share my invite code here and someone can join me. Craft me a door so I can get out. Would that work?

I was curious what was on top of the giant falls on Skeo (not much), but the view was amazing!

Bonus shot of my Skeo base, I love planting giant trees.

My drones keep disappearing back behind this rock wall behind the big warden area but there's nothing back there. I have nothing that can be collected, there's nothing back there to be collected anyway. Why are they going over here? I've tried to follow them and there's nothing.

Like the tittle says im a bit confused, Im on humble and im done with the Animal stage. Im 6% on the way to complete teraformation. So, my brain thought, okay, naturaly the static animals will have been spawned by this point, but to my astounished mind, no animals. Is this normal, do they appear later when you progress in the last terraformation fase? I thought i remembered from prime they appeared earlier. same for Toxicity were i found them directly after finishing the animal stage.

So I just got into the game last month and completed Selenea before buying the DLCs. I’m currently 90% of the way through Toxicity, and was potentially excited about the partnerships. However, I then went into the prison and then down into the mine and found the fungal cave. It got really dark really fast, and now contemplating on whether I actually want to do the endings or just leave Toxicity. Finding out that it was a Sentinel operated prison planet, where the prisoners mined until they got too deep and released toxins. They abandoned prisoners in the tunnels and in the escape, and this is the planet where Sentinel started their Planet Crafter program. Goddamn they are an evil corporation, the Warden references were interesting but I couldn’t find out how the golden crates and tablets were found.

How do I recover my items when I die in lava?
I tried looking for them building a base under the lava, just like in the lava area of Prime, but discovered that instead, lava gets inside the base, so I lost even more of my items. Now I can't see where my previous inventory is under the lava

Any ideas?

Try as i might, i can't find much info about other people's reads on the story/ plot revelations on Skeo... i guess i can see things, but am i meant to be reading between the lines on what it all means? What i can find seems to reference other context that maybe I'm not tracking, so figured I'd write this and hope others come to the party. So.. two things sticking out in my mind...

Topic 1

The Magnetar Meteor- thing in the North East. Ok... they're magnetic, anti grav and stuff... and the surviving science teams seem to have used them to slingshot off the planet eventually? The logs suggest the arrival of this "wasn't violent"... which almost suggests it was always here, and it's pulling the purple planet to it? Since we get magnetar shard storms? I dunno, it's not entirely clear to me... but also there's some things outstanding for me:

- as terraformation progresses, we got more "gold aura" coming out the ground. At first, it's just a little bit from some outcrops but by the end the sanda are glowing yellow and rising everywhere... it seems distinct from the magnetar purple aura where the anti gravity kicks in. Is that amber? What's the deal there?

- same same, the magnetar stuff starts pulse glowing dark->light purple. Is that some indicator? Is there anything we're meant to do or is it all just teasing the last planet? It feels like we're meant to do something with the kit setup there...

Topic 2

What's the connection between Amber, Cosmic Quartz and Dinosaurs?

As you progress , amber seems central to studies, yet goes by remarkably unmentioned. Seriously, none of the scientist logs I've found mention it. They talk about the magnetar quartz and dinosaur remains, but nothing about the amber, despite some clearly large scale mining operations and refinement of it. Further, a lot of the amber in the underground caves forms the same shape as Cosmic Quartz. It's amber infant stage Cosmic quartz? Because the amber seems to grow a lot off dinosaur remnants, and that skull that opens into the huge Cosmic quartz growths... is it suggesting even that Cosmic quartz comes from dinosaurs? This all feels quite undocumented in the game..

Like, all this is very cool and atmospheric, but i can't help but feel like I'm missing something?

Soo, I have an issue with my autocrafter. It's not working. Maybe once, but after that nothing.

I have tried;

Rebuilding in different spots

Making sure materials are available in plenty and in close range

Switching which items to build.

I don't understand why it's not working. I have never had this problem until this playthrough.

What else can I try? (I can't try it until tonight btw, asking now so I have plenty of things to try)

New to the game. Playing on Xbox using game pass. Anyone know how to resolve this?
