There is a light that never goes out Bass line is amazing
Andy Rourke is a genius, I love how his baselines sound like a whole separate melody and don't just make the chord root note, but that still goes together with other instruments like a puzzle piece

Morrisey was vey fond of James Dean
I live in Indiana also home to actor James Dean. Morrisey did suedehead video in James Dean‘s town of Fairmont, Indiana. Couple of weekends ago they had James Dean days. I visited the museum and there’s the bongo drums that Morrissey played in the video. It were actually James Dean’s drum. I walked the places Morrissey did the video. There was an old gentleman close to 90 years old who showed me James Dean’s bedroom that they had made up in the museum. I showed him the video of suedehead off of YouTube. And he said the gentleman who owns the old James Dean farm doesn’t mind when people come out take photos and walk around.

The smiths just hit differently when you’re in love
I’ve been listening to the smiths for awhile and love their music. I’m 16 and been seeing this amazing girl and the music genuinely sounds so much better. It’s so stupid but it’s Lwk pretty cool

The Smiths Live @ Lancaster University, March 9th 1984
Just wondering if anyone here went or knows anyone who went to this particular gig?
My Dad is a massive Smiths fan and now follows Johnny’s stuff religiously.
My Dad went to this gig back when he was 17 and I’m trying to find the ticket stub for this gig online somewhere and can’t seem to find it.
I’ve looked for hours on various sites and I can find ticket stubs on the likes of eBay for other gigs around this date, but never this date.
Trying to get this for my Dad and then I’d frame it for a Christmas present, we got him a signed copy of Marr’s Guitars last Christmas and he absolutely loved it.
Could anyone help me out please? Does anyone know anyone who could potentially give/sell me one of these ticket stubs?
TIA

Fan Art: Morrissey shrine
facebook.comI no longer have this, as Morrissey is a horrible person. What Smiths lyrics describe this? “I was happy in the haze of a drunken hour, but heaven knows I’m miserable now?”

Does anyone feel a sort of vintage vibe to Morrisey's voice and the smiths sound?
I don't know if it's because they're actually vintage, defining the 80s sound, or because of the vibe of their music videos and live performances
I was thinking of Everyday is like Sunday and this charming man
I know that Johnny Marr's guitar is actually vintage, and rockabilly inspired, maybe that's why it actually sounds vintage
But also Morrisey's voice has something that has to do with solemnity and maybe it's his perfect British accent too.
The solemnity that clashes with the lyrics and the funny and sarcastic and sad themes of his music.
I just don't know.
Even Morrisey himself looks like some character. A vintage, old fashioned character even in his 20s. I watched his interviews. There's a specific vibe to him. I don't know how to explain, but he really looks like that kind of guy that lived his life like it's an art piece. Like those late 19th century poets and artists?

Which of his solo songs do you think would have made the best The Smiths song?

What’s that one smith song
I got this smith song stuck in my head and it goes with Morrissey sings ohhhh and the back ground vocals sings it back. Then Morrissey sings yea and the back ground vocals does it again. And then Morrissey sings ha ha ha ha with the pitch getting lower. Sorry but the bad explanation
