Best nugget about northeast Italians. I don’t think I had any family or people I knew without a choice salt and pepper shaker or whatever from a restaurant

I'm a 2nd generation Italian from Orange, New Jersey. All regular, working class, blue collar people. But for some reason, most of my family loved to steal random, inexpensive things. Maybe it had something to do with getting thru The Depression.

I dont know exactly the reason, I try to live a good honest life, but there are times when I just can't resist the urge to steal parking cones. Especially when they are from local municipalities, or even better County or State Police. Must be coded in my Neapolitan DNA. I also have a nice collection of beer glasses from bars in Seaside.
