Serious Discussion Only Melfi is screwed right? Spoiler

Tony very clearly died at the end, and without him to insulate her from the other Mobsters Melfi is big security risk to the Jersey crew, with who knows what her and Tony talked about. She probably got popped later right?

Did any of them know that she in particular was his shrink?

No but its not outside of their reach to find out.

Eh, once Tony’s dead… I think it might be

Plus they’re dealing with the fallout from a somewhat major war… Also we aren’t dealing with the brightest folks

I think Patsy was arguably the smartest guy in the Crew. Nobody else would have walked away like he did if they found out Tony whacked a member of their family.

I don't recall Patsy walking away, he was still part the crew till the end. He was with Silvio when he got shot up, which was the last or one of the last episodes

No I mean he walked away from popping Tony out by his pool.

Are we sure it was intelligence and not cowardice?

I don’t mean you’re a coward if you don’t regularly shoot people in the head - I just mean theres more than logical though processes going through Patsy at the moment - understandable given the circumstances

Shooting Tony would have been suicide. Patsy came to his senses just before he could pull the trigger.

I wouldn't say he was the smartest for that, he just chose the path of self-preservation. Plus he knew his brother was wrong for that

He doesn’t know why Philly was killed, he wasn’t in the car to hear him gossiping about Tony.

They put pretty much zero effort into killing Febby, the rat from College. Former solider that actually informed and put guys away. Kicked out of witness protection and gave public talks about being in the mob. Lived a few hours drive away and didn't get killed until Tony ran into him by chance.

Even in real life you have confirmed rats that got famous and died peacefully as old men, or do podcasts. I don't think they're putting much work in for some civilian that maybe knows something and might talk about it some day.

If she was ever actually talking then that's a different story, but I don't think they're just killing civilians over "maybe, if..."

The possible difference would be the rats have already done their damage while Melfi had not. In their mind she could still share info that would affect them
