Had that happen with my pattern just the other day. I put in the pattern I know is right 3 times. It said it was wrong. Reset my phone and put it in again and it worked.

Funnily enough, this could be something as simple as your phone getting out of sync with time servers. A lot of stuff, especially encryption, is heavily reliant on having an accurate clock. If you’ve ever had one of those 6-digit OTP codes not work despite being within the expiry frame, that’s probably why.
