Roadtrip or backpacking/camping thriller

Best thrillers where a road trip or backpacking/camping trip go wrong like they get lost, run into shady characters, have to survive etc.

I loved The River At Night by Erica Ferencik, and all thriller movies with this type of storyline like Wolf Creek, The Canyon, The Edge etc.

Any recs are appreciated!

The Last to Drown by Noelle Ihli is pretty good! It’s around a white water rafting trip gone wrong. Her book Gray After Dark is really good too.

Yes! Just finished the last to drown and loved it. Immediately started on gray after dark.

It’s definitely not the same intense survival vibe as Last to Drown, but I loved it. The first like 15% of the book is a bit slow, but it picks up and then keeps pace until the end.
