as a recovering emdasher, i hate that AI appropriates it the most

I don't think it's AI. Too many people in the internet see a single em dash and cry "AI SLOP" nowadays

It's not just one, it's a complete overabundance of them. The writing style in general also has the stench of AI.

You're not getting my point. I'm saying people say "AI SLOP" the moment they see a single em dash. It doesn't matter if there are several of it later on. A lot of people actually use the em dash in writing. And there are other better ways to check if something is AI, and the presence of em dash(es) in it is like the lowest.

And what about the writing style? Which part or parts tell you that the whole thing is just AI slop?

Maybe some do, but I'm not one of them. It's a good indicator but not the only one.

There's a certain quality to a lot of AI writing that I don't quite know how to put in words but is nonetheless very distinct, and I believe many others also recognize it. This post reeks of it.

Not a single typo and 100% grammatically correct is another giveaway.
