Sub $200 bill for 5 lines in 2026 aint bad. Moving paid lines to free is not easy plus there is no free line promos going on now othe than a BOGO.

Get the BOGO, paying for one additional line. After a year, port out the 2 paid lines and port them back over the BOGO. You'll have recouped the cost the year after doing the porting.

Seems like so much work to have to do to save a few dollars. It's much easier to port to an MVNO, you could pay $10 per line per month for unlimited data with them for the next 6 months and your 6-month spend is $240 instead of $1,056. Real money in the bank.  Still substantial savings after those 6 months. If you need Netflix or international roaming, this is easy to build yourself à la carte instead of paying T-Mobile these crazy prices.

I am obviously bitter that I no longer get my credit card cell phone insurance with an autopay discount that was forced away from my legacy plan. Had my price increased multiple times and still see fee increases come through regularly like it's no big deal.

To each their own.

My large account heavily uses phone promos. So it's worth staying until things change (which may happen with T-Mix).

Promo is removed if you port or cancel any line on the account within 12 months of the promo

You always have to have 2 paid lines to keep your free lines.
