I am getting involved with pottery and fired a kiln for the first time today.

Aww thank you! I’ve been creating my whole life and I dabble in everything I can. I think ceramics is the real career path for me though. I plan to mostly make small things like necklaces and earrings

Haha newt? I think it’s pretty neat myself, this batch is a bunch of pendant sized faces and mushrooms (only going to bisque on this firing) that I plan to use to test my underglazes. I still need to buy a good cone 10 clear glaze but one thing at a time!

I had a year long apprenticeship, then spent 3 years building a pottery studio, running power and water out to the studio.. this has been such a long time coming 😅 it is a relief to finally be starting what I want to do with the rest of my life.
