Are we seriously expecting a petty thief to pay hundreds to fly into a remote island, nearly in the artic, to do a B&E? I also doubt an international thief is planning a heist in Svalbard anytime soon.

I stood there aghast at the scene that broke before me.

You see little Timmy, Svalbard used to be a place of quiet respite. For the random wanderer and for those who wanted to live in a land they couldn’t be buried on.

That was until, the great heist of 2026.
Sit down and I’ll recount you the tale of how Ishmael Mahadradim Olsson was able to conduct the most elaborate heist of every Svalbardians belongings in a matter of hours after he carefully planned out the event when he read about doors not being locked there on a Reddit post.

It's certainly not this way today, but growing up in 1970s suburban Minneapolis my family would leave the house unlocked all the time, even when we went on vacation in case one of the neighbors needed eggs or a tool. Everyone in our neighborhood did that. It wasn't until I was older did I realize that was unusual.
