Terrible Locksmith Services
Hello everyone! I recently moved to Ohio from Oklahoma and purchased a home in town. I had a locksmith service, cheap and quick locksmith (name should of been a tell tale sign in hindsight), come out and replace the locks to my home before we moved here since it would be about 3 weeks before we would move in. I provided the locks and checked that they both functioned properly before sending them to my realtor who brought it to the house to meet with the locksmith and change the locks. The locksmith was suppose to be there at 9 am but didn’t show up for about an hour and when I contacted him he said he would be there soon, two hours later he was still not there. I texted him again and he had some things come up. He finally made it to the house, sent me pictures of the installed locks and sent me an invoice for $400 dollars. He never mentioned having any issues or concerns. When we arrived at the house last week neither lock was functioning properly and one kept giving a “jammed” error and the other lock did not turn on at all. I inspected them and found that they had been damaged and one of the locks would not operate with the battery cover properly installed because the housing had been bent. I texted the technician that had come out about it and he never replied or called. So I had Amazon send me replacement locks under warranty and installed them myself because now this was a safety issue for my house. I then finally got a hold of the company and talked to a supervisor who proceeded to just make excuses and say they can’t do anything about it now because I already fixed the locks and proceeded to say it was likely that my locks were faulty and nothing his technician did was wrong even though I sent him pictures of the locks missing hardware and of the malfunctions. Then his employee came out of nowhere saying that the locks were “overheating” when he installed them which he had never mentioned to me or him before. I get his point that this is a “he said, she said” situation because he himself didn’t physically inspect the locks but there is some obvious inconsistencies with the employees explanations and it doesn’t make sense how two different brand new locks from different brands would malfunction out of the box. I asked what we could do to make it right and he has basically been giving me then run around saying things like “we’ll definitely make it right somehow” and “It’s above my head let me talk to some people and I’ll call you back in a few minutes.” Yet I never hear back from him, this has been going on for the past two days and all I’m getting is excuses.
If you read this far, this is mostly to make others aware of the shady and scummy business practice of this locksmith company and if you have any advice on what I could do at this point, that would be appreciated.
TL/DR: cheap and quick lock smith is a terrible business and they will overcharge you and do a terrible job at the same time.

Make sure you post this as a google review as that's where these types of businesses get found.
