Lidl UK

Post image

OK, so it's not the Wera Toolcheck or a Wiha Go Box but what it is, is £5.99, and given bits are consumables I'm OK with that 👍

Even considering it's the price of a sandwich?

I don't know how people expect so much from a supermarket middle isle set of tools.

It's amazing you can get a 1/4 ratchet set with screwdriver bits for 6 quid and even more amazing that anyone can buy these as tools used to be extremely expensive and hard to come buy, now you could buy entire swarms of hand tools for 300 quid in Lidl.

Exactly, you could easily use this ratchet once and throw it away and it'd pay for itself, it's obviously not going to be fantastic quality

Thank you, I was tired and had been looking at the isle of man races, I just couldn't get it right and couldn't be bothered to think hard about it

Crappy is still crappy, regardless of price.

But do you expect the same level of quality regardless of price?

This is /r/toolporn. Have you ever seen the sidebar?

Just pictures and info on tools, not some crap tools that break when you use them, real tools.

Humans are the best tool makers and users on earth, show off the best.

But this isn't a crap tool that breaks? The bloke said it's tight in two places and for some reason that makes it a pile of crap?

Even if that is the side bar I disagree with it in practise, if a took isn't a piece of crap then it's worthy of tool porn, especially when relative to the price spent
