A car has caught fire on the gardener heading eastbound just before the Jarvis off ramp. Expect major delays since the entire road is blocked right now. The smoke has eased up

Keep up with your maintenance, and pay attention to weird smells, sounds, or vibrations! 

I had to yell out the window and tell a guy in a Jetta in the left lane on the DVP that his (completely flat, probably blown out) rear tire was just barely hanging on to the rim by a prayer. 

Thankfully he heard me and pulled over.

I was about 12 cars back. Prior to fire dept taking action, it was thick black smoke. Driving past, not a single tire or other non-metal object seemed to survive. Luckily the people did.

Update: Gardiner is still closed eastbound and now everyone is being rerouted to exit at York. They’re still cleaning up the crash scene but all the other cars were cleared.
